Usernames

[edit]

I was flicking through the creation times of some of the usernames you've recently reported, they seem quite old; may I ask where you are getting them from? Rudget (logs) 14:00, 15 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, it's a fair point. I was looking them up specifically since many seem to slip the net at the time using Special:ListUsers. Spare Wheel (talk) 14:02, 15 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I see. Thank you. Rudget (logs) 14:03, 15 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of XL Airways Flight 237

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article XL Airways Flight 237, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Article tags and notability

[edit]

It is generally frowned upon to delete an article tag before the issue it refers to has been resolved, or at least discussed on the article's talk page. Also, if you are not sure what constitutes a notable topic, please refer to WP:NOTE. Your edit to XL Airways was a good one, but I'm not sure the page XL Airways Flight 237 will be kept as a result of its AfD discussion. --Falcon Darkstar Kirtaran (talk) 09:18, 3 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

That's not ture!! From above "You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page." That's what I did as the deletion wasn't fair without discussion as the article was removed from XL Airways article so no-one would ever see it to decide if they wanted to keep it. I wanted a discussion and that's what's happening, what's wrong with that!? Spare Wheel (talk) 14:11, 3 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
It probably would have been helpful if 1) you had gone and started a discussion on the article's talk page and 2) you probably ought to make yourself more familiar with our general and specific notability criteria. Remember, this is an encyclopedia, not a newspaper. AKRadeckiSpeaketh 14:40, 3 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated Compass Airlines Flight 2040, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Compass Airlines Flight 2040. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. ApprenticeFan talk contribs 00:30, 7 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
