Satpokhariya
I didn't CSD Satpokhariya because "recently created" is rather vague but, as my summary here shows, it is useless. Can you check the original, please, to see if CSD might apply? If it doesn't, I'll have to send it to AfD again. - Sitush (talk) 07:29, 1 October 2017 (UTC)
- Prods shouldn't be applied after an AfD, but this is clearly G4 worthy, also a total of four socks. —SpacemanSpiff 08:20, 1 October 2017 (UTC)
Can you file a report for Special:Contributions/X.Bosher-Smith.X and IP Special:Contributions/82.132.229.15? 123.136.111.139 (talk) 11:10, 2 October 2017 (UTC)
- I have no idea about that sockfarm, you're better off contacting Ponyo or Sro23. —SpacemanSpiff 12:07, 2 October 2017 (UTC)
GSB
Doubtless another sock but is it Madgaonkar or Panjikar? I am tempted to revert their comments per DENY but it doesn't really fit. Can it be done per SOCK? - Sitush (talk) 17:15, 4 October 2017 (UTC)
- All sorted. Blocked by Ponyo, unblock refused by Boing! said Zebedee. To mangle a common UK saying, it would seem that admins are like buses :) They do not seem to have filed a UTRS unblock thus far, which suggests either that it is Panjikar or that Madgaonkar has given up on UTRS. - Sitush (talk) 20:14, 4 October 2017 (UTC)
- We're big and red? Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 20:34, 4 October 2017 (UTC)
- Well, if you want to get personal, I'd say perhaps "not svelte" and lavender/cream. We're not in London, thankfully. I must add, though, that the bus service round your way seems to be excellent. I've used it on a few occasions, especially for trips to museums. In my part of the world, the notion of buses = "none for ages then three at once" definitely applies. - Sitush (talk) 23:50, 4 October 2017 (UTC)

For religiously following WP:ARBIP and preventing addition of inflammatory and contentious statements in Indian castes like Brahmanas, Kshatriyas, Shudras and many including varnas and other social groups. Your hardwork deserves applause. Thankyou for doing so many things for the country where I come from. Regards, Anoptimistix (talk) 08:36, 3 October 2017 (UTC) |

Sock
User:Asm sultan seems to be a sock of Rattans. --regentspark (comment) 14:20, 4 October 2017 (UTC)
- Are these two connected to the Lord that Cpt.a.haddock is following? —SpacemanSpiff 04:21, 5 October 2017 (UTC)
- IMO, it's unlikely to be Lord Aseem both in terms of style and topics covered. And while both Asm sultan and Rattans edit heavily from their mobiles, they seem to have little else in common. Rattans also used edit from a different device earlier. Asm sultan, however, edits largely in the Bengal/Bangladesh space and he is probably a Bazaan sock. His first edit was on 11 August, four days after you reported Farabi1994 as a Bazaan sock and blocked him. Yesterday, I reverted an edit by Asm sultan where he added a map created by Vaza12, a prolific Bazaan avatar. (The image has since been deleted.)—Cpt.a.haddock (talk) (please ping when replying) 10:53, 5 October 2017 (UTC)
- I think capt haddock is correct. I was looking at this edit which is identical to Rattans' edit on the Mughal Empire page. But the rest of their activity is quite different. Bazaan sock likely but I'll let you decide that one. --regentspark (comment) 00:56, 6 October 2017 (UTC)

Article creation tban?
While I hate to do this to an editor acting in good faith, I'm concerned about the creations of this user, which have been a sink for editor time and effort, more than anything else. I've tried to warn them, but I'm uncertain the message is getting through. I'm involved here, and have temporarily handed in the tools in any case: would you take a look? It isn't urgent, but needs dealing with. A lot of the warnings have been deleted, fyi, as have their creations. I suspect a final warning, at the very least, is required. Cheers, Vanamonde (talk) 06:38, 1 October 2017 (UTC)
- It is unfortunately needed now, it's not any different from Junosoon who I tbanned from Indian economy articles and he promptly went over to create bad articles elsewhere. In this case, the problems are all around the health care system and not necessarily India related, so I think an ARBIPA tban on article creations may cause this issue to move elsewhere, but it's probably worth a try, I think. RegentsPark, what do you think?—SpacemanSpiff 08:12, 1 October 2017 (UTC)
- THis is perhaps something for the MEDRS folks to look at, just see Vamana (Panchakarma). Let's see if @Doc James and Smartse: or some of the other medical topic editors have anything to say about this, the generic bios and organization articles around the India aspect are definitely problematic and merit a topic ban at this point. —SpacemanSpiff 08:18, 1 October 2017 (UTC)
- signing again for the ping to go through. —SpacemanSpiff 08:19, 1 October 2017 (UTC)
- Comment--I have been keeping a watch on his creations and editing activities. My and DGG's spate of activity over the recent days meant that currently 75% of his articles have been deleted or redirected and several more are lying at AfD.And some will probably land at AfD soon! If he chooses to indulge in any single disruptive creation of article(s) without any inclination to adhere to our policies, I will be proposing for an article-creation-ban at AN.Basically, he shares the same problems as Junosoon but erratic activities over a long span only meant that he was discovered quite late. But despite all these, he seems to be a genuine good-faith editor, terrifically interested in WP, attending WikiData conferences and all that....Winged Blades of GodricOn leave 10:01, 8 October 2017 (UTC)
- I think the 75% may be deceptive, I saw an article marked as deleted on that but existing in reality because he creates them again after it gets deleted, right now he's sandboxing something deleted at AfD. Also, while I don't doubt the intentions here, the wikidata involvement i something I generally worry about. One of our biggest promo sockmasters Aboobackeramani (or something like that) is very active there and has figured how to manipulate stuff over there to affect articles on different projects. —SpacemanSpiff 12:33, 8 October 2017 (UTC)
- Dear All, Greetings! I am taking things happening to articles created by (I am aware that there is no concept of ownership at WP) me very seriously. It has caused and is causing a lot of stress to me. It is always difficult to face when one's actions are being scrutinized. I have decided that I will relearn things at Wikipedia and will take this as a learning opportunity. I am very happy that Godric on Leave considers my edits as good faith. I am happy that my intention is not doubted. I would like to assure Doc James that I have no intention to add anything on Wikipedia which has no proper references and which is not tested. I am myself against non tested medicine and I am aware the amount of risk it poses to put information about non tested drugs on Wikipedia. I had written a blog about the same over here way back in January 2016. The reason I got interested in WP in 2011 is because I found it logical. Now it seems that many developments have happened and I missed to catch up those developments. Hence as suggested by AshLin to me, I will relearn things at WP. It will take some time. I am of the opinion that WP should not suffer because of my lack of understanding of it. I must mention that I am in great pain because of articles getting deleted created by me, but it is a learning opportunity. I am keeping good faith that none of you have anything against me and you are only trying to help in different ways to make articles better. I am very much thankful to all of you including DGG for the same. It is a mixed feeling I would say. From one side I am feeling good because of the attention I am getting but I am aware that this is not a nice way to get attention when my mistakes are being pointed out. I have became more and more aware of how important one's edits are for WP and how carefully one should edit as a result. AshLin had advised me in the beginning itself that I must edit very carefully on WP. It seems that it is time again for me to pay attention to his advise and work accordingly. I believe in constructive criticism and all the constructive criticism is welcome when there is no personal hate involved. In future, if I find some things difficult to understand, I will take your guidance there. I am in fact happy that you considered me worth to discuss about. Being a doctor, I am absolutely aware of my duties towards well-being of the patient and as I have learned from Dr. Abhay Bang, that my personal ego should not interfere with his care. Care of patient is the supreme thing above all. In my opinion, as I have learned from Dr. Abhay Bang, they are my gods and I consider that I am serving them through Wikipedia. He had said once that giving knowledge to a confused person is like giving medicine to a patient or giving food to hungry person. Hence work of Doc James is of doctor of doctors. It is not an easy job I know and I will make sure that I will try to do my bit as far as possible with proper guidance. I welcome all kind of constructive criticism and I am ready to share my position on any of the topic. I am also ready to change my position if needed. Thank you. -- Abhijeet Safai (talk) 05:49, 9 October 2017 (UTC)

- @Khirurg and Kansas Bear:, it appears that this is going on across multiple articles (I see a lot of posts on the talk page from Utcursch, and in this particular one it's just one revert since coming back, while problematic, he seems to have stopped so I'll refrain from blocking for that. However, in such cases it is appropriate to give the user a

sockpuppetry
Hello SpacemanSpiff, One of the most notorious, infamous and belligerent socks here on wiki (vrghs jacob) is using many many accounts as we speak. I'm listing only some of accounts as currently I'm a bit busy, also I don't want you to get overburdened. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:SshibumXZ, Japanmomo, Ayush12raj2003, Rohannarain, Bharat.varsh, etc. Also, please have a look at how he is vandalising Civil Services of India's article by adding defunct services to the list. This is the current list of services as per DoPT as of 3rd April 2017. http://document.ccis.nic.in/WriteReadData/CircularPortal/D2/D02adm/OMUpdationoflistdated03.04.2017.pdf
he's the same person who vandalised it earler. Also, please restore the article to the revision kept by the admin (bishonen) on 21 may 2017. Please increase the protection level to admin only and also the duration of protection. I shall keep reporting you his other accounts. <redacted>. And I'm the one who got his most accounts blocked.
thanks!
- I don't think the rest of the accoutns are the same as CU came up empty other than the two I blocked, but I'll take a look later. Also, please read WP:OUTING before any other posts. —SpacemanSpiff 16:07, 29 October 2017 (UTC)
bharat varsh is his own account. he talks with himself using muliple accounts having opposing views to make it look like different persons, and different edits also he changes his IPs while doing so. he's kind of mentally sick if you ask me. please resore the civil services article, protection admin only and its duration. thanjs!
