Hey! Why u reverted my edit at article India ? Plz do not revert it as i provided useful info abt india 's membership in different groups which was absent till! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sudhir7777 (talk • contribs) 02:53, 12 June 2014 (UTC)
- Being useful in your eyes isn't the only criteria for inclusion; the article is already long and comprehensive, providing due weight to the different aspects and has gone through multiple review processes too. If you disagree, please discuss on the talk page and get consensus for any incremental changes before you perform them. cheers. —SpacemanSpiff 15:52, 12 June 2014 (UTC)
Padmalakshmisx again
SpacemanSpiff, you seem to be experienced in dealing with the Padmalakshmisx case. Could you take a look at User:Bioasia2013? If this isn't DUCK for you, let me know, I'll provide evidence. Let me also know if this isn't the proper way to go about this, and I'll set up a formal investigation instead. Thank you!—indopug (talk) 12:56, 11 June 2014 (UTC)
- I've been away far a while now, so I'm hesitant to do duck blocks, but I'm pinging @Vensatry: and @Sitush: as they might have more current info on this drawer and also on which admin has been active in these parts. Another alternative is to check with Elockid (talk · contribs) as he's likely to have some CU background info on this case. It'll take me a couple of weeks to get up to speed on the various masters and mistresses. cheers. —SpacemanSpiff 17:21, 11 June 2014 (UTC)
- I know of Padmalakshmix but not much about their habits etc, sorry. - Sitush (talk) 18:43, 11 June 2014 (UTC)
- That's an obvious sock. —Vensatry (ping) 12:18, 12 June 2014 (UTC)
- No worries, I've raised a SPI request already. Thank you.—indopug (talk) 17:39, 12 June 2014 (UTC)

Wrong map removal
The map was wrong. Hence it was removed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Yashskys (talk • contribs) 11:42, 14 June 2014 (UTC)
- Just saying "It is wrong" doesn't make anything wrong. Please stop removing it, if there are any genuine reasons for you removing it then discuss on the talk page, or you will be blocked —SpacemanSpiff 11:50, 14 June 2014 (UTC)

Hello
Nice to see you back :-) -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 12:42, 14 June 2014 (UTC)
- Hey! I'm hoping not to be, but you know how it is! But, the only reason for me to actually log back in is my dislike for the vector skin which is the default for ip users. —SpacemanSpiff 12:44, 14 June 2014 (UTC)
- I know, it's hard to keep away! But even if you're not planning any serious return, I do hope to still see you around a little (much as I've reduced my own contributions - it's quality that counts, not quantity ;-). -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 13:10, 14 June 2014 (UTC)
Article on Indian Diamond Institute
I am working on article, requested on India Portal, Indian Diamond Institute, but stumbled upon the message that you deleted an earlier article citing copyright infringement. Could you please check [here] and advise? I haven't seen the deleted page, hence, unsure how it looked.--jojo@nthony (talk) 11:27, 17 June 2014 (UTC)
- The one that I deleted had very minimal content, but all of it was copy-pasted from diamondinstitute.net. With such deletions, you should feel free to recreate. Normally, I wouldn't worry, but in this case, there appear to be some problems in the new creation too. e.g.:
The IDI is a Society registered under Societies Registration Act, 1860 and also under the Bombay Public Trust Act, 1950.
- That is an exact copy of the source. I haven't checked the rest of the article or sources, but you'll have to rephrase this (and any other such) in your own words. cheers —SpacemanSpiff 12:09, 17 June 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks mate, I have corrected the error you pointed out; I would check the rest once again before proceeding with the creation of the article. Cheers !!--jojo@nthony (talk) 17:06, 17 June 2014 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for June 18
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Flag of India, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Tricolour (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Request to remove the redirect template
I request that the page Misuse of women laws in Indiahas been redirected to the another page named Men's rights movement in India which is totally different and totally discouraging the creator/ editor of the page who has have spent hours on developing the same. Please revert and allow it to develop and grow as it is open for the world to give it shape as it was supposed to, when it was created. RomanSpa had marked it as a notable topic as the laws are being misused relating to women and only victims know its seriousness. Your objections may be worthy but all can be rectified but decision of redirecting it to the another page is harsh.Rajsector3 (talk) 07:21, 19 June 2014 (UTC)
- As has already been mentioned to you at WP:ANI, Wikipedia is not a personal soapbox and if you create articles that violate policy etc they will be redirected or deleted. —SpacemanSpiff 07:44, 19 June 2014 (UTC)
Note. I think the reason Rajsector3 mentioned my name above is because I spoke in support of retaining the article a couple of weeks ago. I don't have any particular involvement beyond that, and a vague plan to do some general clean-up of the article. I do feel slightly uneasy about this recent redirect: my feeling is that there is the potential for an article here, but I do agree that the "personal essay" and "soapbox" components need to be removed. I hope we can reach a useful consensus on future actions. Thanks. RomanSpa (talk) 09:56, 19 June 2014 (UTC)
- I have nothing at all against a neutral article written about the subject, but this isn't even the starting point for it. If any sources are required, they can be fleshed out from the history, so that shouldn't be a problem. Also, there are copyvio and close-paraphrase issues with some of the articles too. cheers. —SpacemanSpiff 12:31, 19 June 2014 (UTC)
- Fair enough. I suppose I'll add this to my (ever-increasing) list of "things to get round to when I have an idle minute"... It'll probably bubble up to the top sometime in the next decade or so! Thanks for your prompt reply, and have a great day! RomanSpa (talk) 12:40, 19 June 2014 (UTC)

Help
नमस्ते! Will you please tell me how to find top contributors of any article. Thanks.--25 CENTS VICTORIOUS ☣ 16:33, 19 June 2014 (UTC)
- You should be able to access the "contributors" tool on any page history, unless the tool has recently been removed from toolserver. —SpacemanSpiff 17:35, 19 June 2014 (UTC)
- Tried, it's not working. I there some other alternative ?--25 CENTS VICTORIOUS ☣ 18:12, 19 June 2014 (UTC)

Thanks again
Actually, I think that your message on the talk-page is the most reasonable response I have received to my concerns.
I'm not really sure that you are right, especially in view of the fact that this third-rate article is on the front page of WP. How can any mere "claim of importance" find its way to the main page? All the DYKs pertain to new articles that have existed only for a few days, with only the author involved (mostly), so all of them have a clear go-ahead to be trivial / promotions / agenda-pushing / etc? It does not seem right.
Yet the answer from you is not unreasonable, arrogant or intimidating. It even evidences a touch of diplomacy. Very well done. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 59.182.180.32 (talk) 11:05, 20 June 2014 (UTC)
Shouting out their maturity, in capital style, with abuse to "boot"
And then there is this type on WP:
From Strike Eagle, a guy to whom I never addressed a SINGLE word:
- Strike Eagle deletes my message -- what is trolling again?
- Troll-abuse from Strike Eagle again
- Further abuse from Strike Eagle!
Each of them has like 50 barnstars, likely to become admins sometime...that's a scary thought for a poor IP like me . And yet, you would only block an IP, right? Correctness, discussion or civility be damned. The IP experience has certainly been revealing. 59.182.180.32 (talk) 12:55, 20 June 2014 (UTC)

- I deleted the page you created for yourself. Wikipedia has policies and guidelines, and we require our article subjects to pass our notability guidelines for articles. In the case of the article you created about yourself, the community did not think that at this time you passed the notability guidelines. When multiple newspapers or magazines write about you, you can reference that here and create an article. cheers. —SpacemanSpiff 19:27, 26 June 2014 (UTC)

- I'm not sure what you're trying to say here. There was a discussion at AfD where it was found that the subject did not pass our notability requirements. Please see our policy on reliable sources and when sufficient number of them have substantially reviewed the subject, you can write an article. In the meantime, if you wish to contribute to Wikipedia, I would encourage you to look at other subjects. cheers. —SpacemanSpiff 18:02, 27 June 2014 (UTC)
