[edit]Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. When using certain templates (such as welcome templates and user warnings) on talk pages, don't forget to substitute with text by adding subst: to the template tag. For example, use {{subst:uw-test1}} instead of {{uw-test1}}. This reduces server load and prevents accidental blanking of the template. Thank you. Safiel (talk) 23:33, 17 April 2015 (UTC)
- Comment In particular, you need to substitute proposed deletions by typing {{subst:Proposed deletion|1=Reason for deletion.}}. Please refer to WP:PROD for more information. Thank you. Safiel (talk) 23:35, 17 April 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks, but there's virtually nothing in the above two paragraphs that I understand. I checked a couple of the articles I've made for deletions, but am not following. Could someone provide an example of an article I've tagged in the incorrect manner, and the explicit corrective action, then I can make sure I'm doing this perfectly going forward? Editing this wiki is a ridiculously steep learning curve if you're not just editing some text :(SourAcidHoldout (talk) 09:20, 18 April 2015 (UTC)
- Oh, no, it's OK, I think I understand what I was doing wrong, thanks :D [Unless I'm still getting this wrong, in which case, could you give me a few more pointers!]SourAcidHoldout (talk) 09:32, 18 April 2015 (UTC)

AFD / Before
[edit]Hi SourAcidHoldout, Before nominating articles editors are expected to follow WP:BEFORE and look for sources ... which judging by this AFD you haven't done so I've closed it as Speedy Keep,
In future please read WP:AFD before renominating any articles,
Thank you. –Davey2010Talk 18:29, 18 April 2015 (UTC)
