The article SOS Africa has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- No reliable sources, no indication of notability
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Huon (talk) 17:09, 5 February 2013 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of SOS Africa
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on SOS Africa requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. — Bill william comptonTalk 18:50, 5 February 2013 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from SOS Africa, a page you have created yourself. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Click here to contest this speedy deletion and appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. Notes
[edit]You may think it unfair, but we consider notability here as being important. Other charities may have articles (but see WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS), and these should be referenced with reliable independent sources WP:RS. Without these, be it charity, non-profit, or multi-national, there is no likelihood of an article. OK, some slip through. We've got over four million articles. There are about six or eight people who actually get paid - but they also edit as volunteers too. You mentioned references. Let me know what these are, and I'll give an opinion. Or, if you don't like me, you can ask any regular editor or admin. (Beware - one or two are grumps. If you pick one of those, try another.) Do remember that we are volunteers and any one editor may not be online for more than a day at a time. Just like you, we do have other lives. I do wish you luck with the project, but we're not here to help get your outfit better known. (But if I get to Shepton Mallet, I'll be popping in to see what books you've got.) Before I sign off here, don't remove speedy deletion tags, even when you're not signed in. People have been blocked for that. Strictly, I should block you for your username as it appears to represent an organisation. If you get the references, I'll show you how to get it changed. Peridon (talk) 19:47, 5 February 2013 (UTC)
If your username does not represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}
below this notice.
{{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}
below this notice instead. Thank you. Tyrol5 [Talk] 00:47, 14 February 2013 (UTC)Your submission at Articles for creation: SOS Africa (October 14)
