User talk:Sonic~enwiki
Lesson One
[edit]When you use wikipedia messages talk, you sign with four tildes (usually at the top left hand side of your keyboard if you have a plain garden variety) SatuSuro 06:26, 23 August 2006 (UTC)
The issue is that you have this name User:sonic and you refer to User:philip1992 for a chat, in my mind that is two accounts ? SatuSuro 06:26, 23 August 2006 (UTC)
Sonic 06:28, 23 August 2006 (UTC) I've not actually used talk before, not even sure how Phillip (who isn't me) put that in there. Regardless, it's not the case.
If thats not the case, its best to remove it - sometimes people do that maliciously to admins, but if thats not you - remove it! Its very important to get very used to using talk as much as you might do edits that dont attract any interest from others - the second you get dags like me intruding, youve got to be up with it :) SatuSuro 06:31, 23 August 2006 (UTC)
- As for SLWA, I have been a heavy user of all parts that I have entered - and I must say I am very impressed by the improvements to the online catalogue and what it picks up - better than what it was a few years ago. Hey if you are a relatively new user, please feel free to ask anything about wikipedia on my talk page, I happen to live in mundaring area as well - :) SatuSuro
- That should have read - I have been a Battye, SRO and main part of library user for many years; and the mundaring article is a real mess! :( SatuSuro 06:55, 23 August 2006 (UTC)
Sonic 07:31, 23 August 2006 (UTC) I haven't looked much at the Mundaring article - I'm in that area too. Will see if there's anything I can contribute though.
Glad you like the updated catalogue (my colleague and I designed it) - we've got more things lined up for the next 12 months too.
Rouge the Bat article
[edit]The true information about Rouge the Bat's age is that originally she was 18 years old, and later it was corrected to 17 in Sonic Heroes. --PJ Pete
Your account will be renamed
[edit]Hello,
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Sonic. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Sonic~enwiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name. If you think you might own all of the accounts with this name and this message is in error, please visit Special:MergeAccount to check and attach all of your accounts to prevent them from being renamed.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yours,
Keegan Peterzell
