Trap music

Hi there. In the source cited for trap's late 1990s origin (Hip Hop around the World: An Encyclopedia), it lists UGK's "Pocket Full of Stones" from 1993 as "an early trap song", which actually indicates more of an early 90s origin for the genre. I changed this, but got reverted. What was wrong with my change?--CherokeeJack1 (talk) 20:38, 17 August 2020 (UTC)

@CherokeeJack1: Hello. The viewpoint you are trying to express is never explicitly stated in that source, which is why you were reverted. Your edit constitutes original research, as it is an analysis/synthesis of published material that serves to reach or imply a conclusion not actually stated by the source. If you want to claim that this style of music originated earlier or later than is generally accepted, you'll need reliable sources that explicitly state it.
