Your updates to List of countries by population
[edit]Hi! I see you are doing good updates to List of countries by population. You should, however, be aware of the following note in the start of the table:
- <!--
- PLEASE READ BEFORE EDITING!
- WHEN YOU UPDATE A COUNTRY'S POPULATION - PLEASE ALSO UPDATE THE EXPRESSION NEXT TO IT (column "% of world population") WITH THE SAME NUMBER EXCLUDING COMMAS (the #expr: equation).
- -->
I have done the second update for your last Sweden entry. Regards! --T*U (talk) 16:55, 5 June 2014 (UTC)
- Answer to your note on my user page: You are partly right about the percentage being calculated by a formula, but you have to feed the number into the equation, like I did for you at Sweden some days ago and at Israel just now. Regards! --T*U (talk) 18:20, 9 June 2014 (UTC)
- I see that you still have not got the point: You have to update the number in two places! And by the way: You also have to update the ranking number. It is not done automatically. I have now completed your update for Canada, see here, but please learn how to do this yourself. Regards! --T*U (talk) 18:25, 18 June 2014 (UTC)
- Yes! You got it right this time (apart from a small syntax error in the source link for Faero - I fixed that). Keep up your good updates. Regards! --T*U (talk) 16:38, 1 July 2014 (UTC)

[edit]As is explained in the editnotice for List of countries and dependencies by population, and in 19 separate notes within the article, if population data needs to be changed, do NOT make manual changes to entries with data templates, instead change the template. Despite these warnings, this edit inexplicably replaced the data template with a manual calculation. Because no justification was provided, it was reverted, withe the edit summary saying "unexplained removal of data template despite 19 notes and the editnotice. If you have a reason to remove it, explain it." You completely ignored that and undid my edit. Such edits are disruptive at best. If there is a legitimate reason to remove the template then it needs to be justified with an edit summary. --AussieLegend (✉) 12:23, 24 December 2017 (UTC)

Population updates
[edit]Thanks for updating population data in List of countries by population, but please remember also to change the number in the equation for computing percentages. --T*U (talk) 15:14, 2 August 2019 (UTC)
- For five years you have been updating the population list correctly, so how come you now suddenly have stopped changing the percentage calculation number? That gives other editors extra work, so please go back to updating the number both places. --T*U (talk) 06:30, 15 August 2019 (UTC)

[edit]The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints membership statistics (United States)
[edit]Hello {u|Sokndal}, before you get too far on updating the table on The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints membership statistics (United States). I wanted to let you know that I'm currently working on changing the format and information for the main table for the page. The new format will allow changing the info for each state in one location similar to what's being done for LDS Temples. More importantly, it will also make it easier to change the table contents or for additional use in other pages that may want to use the same data. I'm hoping to have this working good enough to go online by the end of the month.
That being said, it's going to be quite some time before I do this for countries. I'm currently only doing this for US States. Feel free to update The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints membership statistics and other country/province/etc. related pages. With probably 180 countries to do, I want to have the states running for a while to work out glitches, recommendations, etc. before doing countries.
Feel free to look at or improve what I'm working on. The more eyes on it, the easier this would be.

- Thanks for the feed back. I also did some updates om Canadian states and territories. I have manually calculated the LDS population as proportion on the total population of each US state. I am not an expert, but maybe a new format will automatically do this in the future. Keep up the good work. Sokndal (talk) 21:54, 11 April 2022 (UTC)
