wa 3alaykum assalam a5y. ana min dalyat alkarmel (imi w zojty min 3alleya (fi lubnan). w inta?

In regard to Socrates and Alexander the Great ya3ni our teachings are based on some of their writings. This is supported by several books and journals I have read. For example, Historical Dictionary of the Druzes By Samy Swayd "Our doctrines are timeless and universal, and were taught by blessed Minds like Pythagoras, Plato, Aristotle, Socrates, Parmenides, Hermes and Seth thousands of years ago." "Aristotle had great interest in biology, and his remarkable student Alexander (Blessed be his name) brought back with him on each home return specimen of rare animals and plants for Aristotle to study. Aristotle also taught Alexander The Science of Sematics (which is also present among the Ancient Druze Manuscripts)... The science of Sematics is based upon the strong relationship between how a person looks on the outside with how he is on the inside..." http://www.druzenet.net/index.html http://www.druzenet.net/dn-thefifthscience.html By Sheikh Bahjat Ghaith and Chadi Ghaith

I do not consider myself as a Muslim ya3ni I am Druze not a Muslim. We do not do Hajj to Mecca, pray five times per day, or fast for Ramadan. Eid al Adha is the only real important holiday. I believe in reincarnation and that after I die I will be born as a Druze once again inshallah. Muwahhidun means unitarians or monotheists and the essence of all religions are in our religion. Druze is the name that the outsiders gave to us. Yes I recognize and believe God incarnated himself as Al-Hakim bi-Amr Allah. He disappeared in 1021 and we are waiting for his return. I cannot speak for all Druze on these topics. For me I have no problem with evolution teachings. I am against gay and lesbian marriage they are not part of our community and abortion bas my wife supports abortion so it may depend from individual Druze. The Druze of Chouf are very liberal. The Druze community is shrinking we do not need contraceptives but I do not know if it is forbidden. What we need is to focus on building larger Druze families and maybe even accepting those who marry out. So many Druze are marrying outside the community. That is the biggest problem. Even our leaders like Walid Jumblatt or women like Amal Alamuddin marry outsiders. HamzaWahabi (talk) 00:10, 13 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
