Concerning proper game title formatting and detailed game information.
The capitalization that you view in error is actually the proper way to spell them: Dance Dance Revolution with MARIO, Dance Dance Revolution MARIO MIX, Dancing Stage MARIO MIX, Dance Dance Revolution HOTTEST PARTY, and so on. That is the method that Konami has used for the DDR series of games since their release almost 10 years ago: Dance Dance Revolution BEST HITS, Dance Dance Revolution KONAMIX, Dance Dance Revolution EXTREME, and so on. GAMECUBE is the proper formatting of that brand as well, look at the wikipedia article for GAMECUBE and you'll see the "encyclopedic" formatting for the brand but you will also see the game logo which incorporates all caps. Again, this is not a violation of any Wikipedia guideline (As if they were set in stone). In fact the Wikipedia guidelines state that using proper formatting within the article's text is useful.
In addition, do not remove the game information regarding MARIO MIX gameplay, the content may not fit perfectly into an encyclopedic article I agree but all the DDR articles are undergoing renovation by me a couple of other editor at the moment. There is also no grounds to flat out remove it as they explain to readers the connection between DDR and the Mario universe and give them a better understanding of how the gameplay differs from a typical DDR title. I also need that information to be there when I apply a major update to the series main article which has a "For further details see" tag right to that content. Something that won't work if you keep deleting it.
I appreciate that you're trying to help, and I don't mean to step on your toes, but please do not revert the edits in question again as they are correct. Allow experts on the subject to continue to make changes to make the articles better for the community and better suited for this site. It's a slow process but it's one that will be pleasant and appreciated once other editors and readers can see the direction that we are going. If you have any other questions feel free to ask, I trust you will not feel that you have to go to war over this. --AeronPrometheus (talk) 18:22, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
- Looks like that newbie still hasn't learned, I just had to go through and de-capitalize the article again. He also screwed with many of the redirects for DDR games, requiring me to get an admin to help move them (look at and see that a lot of them are at titles that violate MOSTM). Editing of the Teresa May Page
Why did you remove the statement regarding Teresa's birthday? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Miss-teresa-may (talk • contribs) 17:20, 13 February 2008 (UTC)
This comment was added as too many times this page has had Teresa's birth date altered. She is fed up with people making her older than she really is. How would you suggest that I word it then?--Miss-teresa-may (talk) 09:26, 14 February 2008 (UTC)

I would note that Soetermans has stepped over the line of the three revert rule, reverting 4 times in the last 24 hours (1, 2, 3, 4). I have not blocked you from a generous understanding that we are in conversation about this right now, but any further reverts in the next 24 hours will get you blocked. StoneCold is one revert away from violating the three revert rule, which will also result in blocking. Pastordavid (talk) 13:15, 7 June 2008 (UTC)
Proposed deletion of Baek Ji Young discography
A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Baek Ji Young discography, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Blanchardb-Me•MyEars•MyMouth-timed 22:43, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
Someone has relisted the article at WP:PNT when he saw that it had been nominated for deletion. In other words, the whole process has been restarted from scratch. --Blanchardb-Me•MyEars•MyMouth-timed 17:04, 14 June 2008 (UTC)
AfD nomination of Notable speakers with a New York accent
An article that you have been involved in editing, Notable speakers with a New York accent, has been listed for deletion. If you are interested in the deletion discussion, please participate by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Notable speakers with a New York accent. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Ecoleetage (talk) 12:17, 25 June 2008 (UTC)
- I just wanted to say (since the AfD may close before I return to a computer that I believe you had the best of intentions for separating this article from the other one. Don't let what is happening in anyway put you off from contributing in future. Jasynnash2 (talk) 16:25, 25 June 2008 (UTC)
Katie Melua
I've reverted your edit to Katie Melua as last year she released a duet of "What a Wonderful World" with Eva Cassidy which reached no. 1 in the UK singles charts. If you look at the Eva Cassidy page, Melua is list as an associated act. --Hera1187 (talk) 11:02, 27 June 2008 (UTC)

New York dialect list - fix formatting
On my 24" widescreen, at lest, your formatting left 3 short columns and one very long column. I don't want to undo, because you did another edit right after that. But could you fix. It's really ugly now. Thanks. Bellagio99 (talk) 19:27, 24 July 2008 (UTC)
Game Location Removal
Hello. Good job getting rid of all the locations in games! Just as a general pointer, it's probably better to reference WP:GAMETRIVIA (usually item 6) instead of WP:VG, as wp:vg is quite a generic reason. Thanks! Fin©™ 00:28, 23 August 2008 (UTC)
Cartman's religion
Well, about a good solution, I think we may want to simply put it as "Christian." I had set it that way while the discussion was ongoing, since it can't be disputed that Cartman at least considers himself some form of Christian, given his repeated references to Mel Gibson and The Passion of the Christ. Do you know if protection can be applied to a single section rather than the whole page? I think if we simply protected the info box, we could put this issue to rest. In retrospect, however, removing the segment may actually be better, since Cartman's religion has never been a major part of his character aside from that fact that he is Christian, and then only to catalyze his ripping on Kyle for being Jewish. Tealwisp (talk) 17:12, 27 September 2008 (UTC)
It'll probably won't get protected, just based on that ground. Can we as "normal" Wikipedians protect infoboxes? I agree with you, I don't think his religion doesn't matter at all in the series, but apparently for some people it does. Good editing! --Soetermans | is listening | what he'd do now? 19:46, 27 September 2008 (UTC)
- I know it's possible to insert a protection template, but I don't know if that would prevent editing, and besides, to do so wouldn't be in very good faith, as protection powers are granted by the community to users who are trusted to use the power appropriately. Let's just remove the religion piece and let it be. Tealwisp (talk) 21:17, 27 September 2008 (UTC)
Re:Watch your mouth
It was extremely easy to find valid information on Google by searching '"age of empires" ds glitch'. I don't know how you managed not to be able to find anything. I'm sure there are search terms that won't provide obvious results but it sure wasn't difficult to think of terms that did give results. Anyway, the sources I gave on the talk page were from forums and a blog and therefore not usable under the Wikipedia rules you apparently prize so highly (if I had added them, would you have deleted them and added a "citation needed" tag to the other two?). Aside from you ignoring the talk page, I was pissed that you added an "original research" tag the second time, since the information clearly had some basis and I'd already explained that the source was no longer available. It's not my goddamn fault that Majesco only acknowledged the glitch in their forums and then deleted their forums (which also are not archived on Wayback, unfortunately). You start throwing up unsourced and original research tags, people assume the information is falsified, it gets deleted, and then consumers who purchase the game lose an important source of information about a problem that can permanently break the game. Problem re: possible edit war
Hi, wanted to ask for your opinion and help with an article Rainforest Schmainforest. As you can see from the edit history a user, Drewmartial, has been consistently removing a section with no reason given. The section in particular is about episode's reception abroad and is backed up by a blog that links to a Spanish TV programme's website. A quick translation into English via Google supports the use of the site as a cite (and you may remember me as someone who doesn't like to go without cites!). I'd appreciate it if you could lend a hand, I've stopped short of three reverts to the article. Alastairward (talk) 17:40, 5 November 2008 (UTC)

Funny dutchman. That's what you are, a dutchman. Why don't you go to a dutchman forum, instead of Wikipedia? Stop posting your ugly face on Wikipedia. And stop posting nonsense on an IP's talk page. As of this edit, you will not respond and continue this. Lick your wounds and move on, dutchman. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.53.235.198 (talk) 07:35, 9 November 2008 (UTC)
- Dutchman, please stop posting around. Nobody wants to hear it. I told you in my last edit that you would *not* respond, and yet you did. You just don't listen, do you? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.53.235.198 (talk) 02:30, 10 November 2008 (UTC)
Assistance required
Soetermans, you may remember the little scuffle recently on the article page for The China Probrem.
One of the users who was working against me, seems to be determined to start an edit war in the Over Logging article, apparently for a laugh, insisting that I cite the plot of a TV show.
Would you mind offering an opinion on this? Thanks. Alastairward (talk) 13:45, 10 November 2008 (UTC)

Copy from my talkpage: I think highly of Taiwan, but I don't think highly of the Republic of China or the People's Republic of China. The Republic of China illegally occupied Taiwan and essentially committed genocide against Taiwanese during the 228 massacre and white terror. The United States obviously didn't give a shit because Taiwan was part of the Japanese Empire before the end of WWII and most Taiwanese supported Japan during the war. Truman and other Americans were happy to see their friend Chiang Kai-Shek brutalizing Taiwanese and brainwashing their unique Taiwanese-Japanese blend culture despite no legal bases for doing so. It took more than 40 years for one man, Lee Teng-Hui, to infiltrate through the Chinese Nationalist system and retook Taiwan for the Taiwanese, but an entire generation is lost and brainwashed. The Republic of China is a slave name and Mandarin Chinese is a slave language force on ethnic Taiwanese. Chinese (both Kuomintang and PRC) need to leave Taiwan alone and Kuomintang members need to go back to China if they don't assimilate to mainstream Taiwanese culture.--NWA.Rep (talk) 19:08, 14 November 2008 (UTC)
- I thought maybe you didn't want to answer my question, but two months later there it is. You seem to feel very strong about this subject. I wasn't familiar with that part of history. Thanks for clearing that up, NWA. --Soetermans | is listening | what he'd do now? 11:10, 17 November 2008 (UTC)

This was completely foolish. But I suppose I shouldn't be surprised, because this is even more foolish. Please don't do that. Take it to myspace or somewhere. Friday (talk) 19:34, 23 November 2008 (UTC)

Harassment
Harassment - you've broken this several times now, whereas the only thing I've done is a very indirect personal attack in a conversation on another user's talk page. I don't live in New Jersey, don't wish to, but even claiming that I do is harassment, and that gives me enough grounds to bring in an administrator regarding your constant edits (in addition to the personal attacks you pointed out).
We've both made mistakes, we're both humans, but I don't by any definition other than your own owe you an apology, so find something better to do that doesn't involve editing my talk page or sandbox. Let it go, since for someone under editor review you should watch this kind of behavior more, don't you think?
There are still some rules you can't ignore.

Soetermans, I want to thank you for your comments in the Capt. Ivan Castro talk page. I also. want to share that my DYK hook for Ivan Castro (soldier) drew 71,300 page views while it was featured on the Main Page. That's an all-time DYK record for most page views! The list of all-time top DYK page views can be seen here, and my Castro article is now #1: Wikipedia:DYKBEST#All-time best of DYK.
Since I noticed that you are of Jewish descent, I believe that you may enjoy reading one of my "Immigration to Puerto Rico Series" articles. Here it is for your enjoyment: Jewish immigration to Puerto Rico. Take care, Tony the Marine (talk) 04:36, 10 December 2008 (UTC)
