Information icon Hello, I'm Muhandes. I noticed that you made one or more changes to an article, List of Institutes of National Importance, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Muhandes (talk) 16:06, 12 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I have now added it back with a source. Soarwakes (talk) 03:58, 13 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
The relation of the fact to the article is unclear. Please discuss this on the article's talk page. --Muhandes (talk) 09:18, 13 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Spinning out articles

[edit]

Please tell why you reverted me here? You gave no reason,

You also reverted me on Cow protection movement with summary "spinned out long article", but that article is only 73k bytes, it is not large.

There is no difference between "Cow protection movement" and "Cow vigilante violence in India" since both subjects concerns violence before 2014. Coverage after 2014 was more significant that's why they created Cow vigilante violence in India since 2014.

Your edits are against consensus established at Talk:Cow vigilante violence in India since 2014/Archive 1#The main problem with this article is not the title. ML talk 11:21, 25 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

That is a different article ML, and redirecting amounts to deletion. But if you still want to delete the article then there are other ways to do it, so please refrain from redirecting the article. Thanks. Soarwakes (talk) 09:12, 26 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Describe how it is a different. If you want to create articles then there are millions of subject that deserve articles than this WP:CFORK which clearly duplicates another subject. I am aware of "other ways", but that would be basically a waste of time. Why can't you let any other editor revert the redirect if you are confident that you are creating article about a different subject against consensus? ML talk 16:15, 26 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Reverting is not allowed in deleting an article. The article is big enough to have a separate article. Soarwakes (talk) 05:52, 28 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Chowkidar Chor Hai into another page. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. DBigXray 12:00, 4 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I have given the source in the edit summary. Please check the history. Soarwakes (talk) 14:22, 4 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
you are supposed to givve attributions by adding a wikilink in the manner as described above. --DBigXray 15:08, 4 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Stop icon

Your recent editing history at Chowkidar Chor Hai shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.
When an article is at WP:AfDed, all possible options are thought of. The WP:AfD was closed as WP:SNOW keep and hence Notable. This article was deemed notable in its own capacity. A merger is now moot. You are free to copy content to other articles but this article will exist independently since it is a notable topic. stop edit warring over this. or you will be reported.
