[edit]Please stop adding the external link to your website to Hoverboard. The article is about levitating hoverboards, so the link is not appropriate. Just because you or others call those wheeled boards hoverboards is no reason to add them to this article. Please read WP:EXT, particularly WP:ELNO. And since this is your site you should also think about WP:COI. Meters (talk) 17:44, 5 February 2016 (UTC)
Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Hoverboard. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted or removed.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor then please discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page. Alternatively you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant notice boards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, please seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive, until the dispute is resolved through consensus. Continuing to edit disruptively could result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. Meters (talk) 19:39, 5 February 2016 (UTC)
2ND & FINAL WARNING
[edit]Please refrain from making disruptive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at both Hoverboard and Self-balancing two-wheeled board. You have been warned repeatedly that your edits are disruptive and have been reverted or removed. If you do not understand, promotional links violate Wikipedia's WP:PROMO policy and will be removed. They are also not appropriate external links and violate Wikipedia's external link, WP:EXT policy. Please familiarize yourself with these policies. However, if you continue attempting to add these advertising links to the External Links, despite repeated warnings - which you acknowledge having read by blanking them - you will be reported and blocked from editing with no further warning. 2602:306:BD61:E0F0:8942:1BA4:B063:CD30 (talk) 07:22, 6 February 2016 (UTC)
Hey there,
I am quite confused how my link is disruptive edits cause the link I added is all about self-balancing two wheel board. I got the first warning because the page I am editing is about hoverboard which I thought is the same as the self-balancing two wheel board but now I am confused even more because I am sure self-balancing two wheel board is about the hoverboard link I added.
Also, the content of the link I added is purely about top speed of self-balancing two wheel boards which is not some kind of promotional link you mentioned earlier. If you do not believe that, You can check the website yourself.
If we can't add external links in the external links section, what's the use of that section. The main purpose is to let more people know about self-balancing two wheel boards, right? What's is wrong with adding links to let reader know more about them? Please give me an explanation before judging my edits as disruptive behavior. Thank u very much.
- When different editors on two different pages tell you more than once that your persistent attempts to add a certain link are disruptive and violate policy, it is difficult to understand why you would continue to add that very same link. Especially when you were also given links to the policies you were violating. If you still don't understand, it's likely because you still have not read the policy links you were provided. Please do. All editors are expected to following the rules and guidelines of this project, and if they refuse, they can expect to see their edits reverted and/or removed. Persistent refusal to adhere to the guidelines can also result in you being blocked from editing here.
- To address your specific concerns: hoverboards and self balancing two-wheel boards are not the same things, as the articles themselves indicate. SB2WBs don't hover and likewise hoverboards are still largely in the realm of movies and prototypes. Also, regarding your link, Wikipedia requires reliable sources and there is nothing reliable in your source. It is in no way an authoritative source; it does not cite any reliable source(s); it lists no authorship for its articles; and it doesn't even identify itself in any way. It's nothing but a personal opinion blog, which also violates Wikipedia policies: WP:NOTRELIABLE and WP:BLOGS. As already explained, it also violates WP:EXT as it is not a legitimate, reliably sourced external link. Obviously, the only reason you are pushing it is because you either wrote it or are affiliated with it in some way, which makes it promotional, also violating WP:PROMO and WP:COI. So bottomline, it violates a whole list of policies I have given you. Now since I have assumed good faith with you with this detailed explanation, please do not attempt to repost it on either article again. It will be removed again and you will be blocked. And now you can't say that you didn't know why or that you weren't fairly warned. Thanks. 2602:306:BD61:E0F0:8942:1BA4:B063:CD30 (talk) 11:24, 6 February 2016 (UTC)
