Edit summaries

[edit]

When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:

Edit summary text box

The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.

Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field, especially for big edits or when you are making subtle but important changes, like changing dates or numbers. Thank you. Powers 12:27, 9 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your edits; unfortunately, they had to be reverted. "Disappointing" requires a source for what would be a POV statement, while a film's box office figures require a reliable source. Please feel free to restore the data if you can satisfy encyclopedic requirements, and thanks for understanding. RadioKirk (u|t|c) 22:04, 11 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please don't remove the AfD header from the top of the article; that template invites other users to discuss and/or improve the article, and allows the community to reach a consensus about what should be done. Removing the template will not stop the article from being deleted, but it may keep editors who would have otherwise supported the article from finding the discussion. If you'd like for the article to be kept, please make a case to that effect at the AfD discussion. Thanks for your time. Luna Santin 06:58, 13 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, but your edits to this article today have been removed per WP:N, WP:BLP and Talk:Britney Spears#Naked Pics. Write me if you have any questions. RadioKirk (u|t|c) 00:21, 6 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your contributions. Please see WP:LEAD. For some reason, you added a Box Office section at the top of the pages. 1) This is the wrong place 2) your additions were not cited. Please provide the URL of your soutce. The JPStalk to me 11:06, 10 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Your edits to Britney Spears

[edit]

Please do not deliberately introduce incorrect information into articles, as you did to Britney Spears. It is considered vandalism. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. -- Jim Douglas (talk) (contribs) 16:59, 29 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The cited source says 76 million. Please stop. If you continue to vandalize pages by deliberately introducing incorrect information, as you did to Britney Spears, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. -- Jim Douglas (talk) (contribs) 21:04, 5 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did in Homosexuality. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that exist to attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policies for further explanations of links that are considered appropriate. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. ¤~Persian Poet Gal (talk) 01:12, 7 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Your edits to Bree Williamson

[edit]

Your recent contribution(s) to Wikipedia are very much appreciated. However, you did not provide references or sources for your information. Keeping Wikipedia accurate and verifiable is very important, and as you might be aware there is currently a drive to improve the quality of Wikipedia by encouraging editors to cite the sources they used when adding content. If sources are left unreferenced, it may count as original research, which is not allowed. Can you provide in the article specific references to any books, articles, websites or other reliable sources that will allow people to verify the content in the article? You can use a citation method listed at How to cite sources. Thanks! Valrith 21:30, 12 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sources

[edit]

I see from the above entries on your talk page that you've been asked numerous times to cite sources for your information, in particular for information relating to Britney Spears. Please note that you will be held to our Wikipedia:Verifiability policy by other editors. Cite sources for your information or it will be removed. Uncle G 21:58, 5 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Brandon Buddy/AfD

[edit]

Hi, I just recreated a page for Brandon Buddy (Cole Thornhart) of One Life to Live, which apparently has been previously deleted at least once due to "lack of notability." Obviously, he is a new actor, but his status as a contract player on OLTL makes him notable, no? In any case, I was hoping you and others who have contributed to OLTL pages could comment on the article's talk page regarding this deletion issue. Thanks in advance. TAnthony 04:17, 6 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, but your edit has been reverted a second time. The statement as written violated both original research policy (no reliable source for the data) and neutrality policy. Questions? Write me. RadioKirk (u|t|c) 05:07, 17 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not use the phrase "rehab and recovery" without a reliable source speaking to any "recovery". Thus far, without one, we don't know that she has "recovered" and cannot say so per WP:NOR. RadioKirk (u|t|c) 19:57, 26 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not change the heading "2007: Personal struggles" again before bringing your suggestions to the discussion in Talk:Britney_Spears#2007:_Time_in_rehab. Your most recent change to "2007: Life after rehab" seems to suggest that she didn't go to rehab in 2007, which is misleading. Thank you.--Agnaramasi 13:43, 6 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Jasper Jacks on General Hospital

[edit]

The correct spelling of Jax's full name is Jasper JACKS. Jax is just his nickname.

Your edit has been reverted. Please take part in the discussion before considering any further edits of this nature. Thank you. RadioKirk (u|t|c) 17:30, 3 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I just reverted your edit that changed "personal struggles" to "getting help". Please participate in the discussion before making changes to content that has been determined by consensus.--Agnaramasi 22:58, 19 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Anna Nicole Smith - April 4, 2007

[edit]

Please do not delete content from articles on Wikipedia, as you did to Anna Nicole Smith. Your edits appear to be vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Jeeny 20:53, 5 April 2007 (UTC)

Is nominated for speedy delete because there is no content on the page. It may or may not be a title of an upcoming song by Britney Spears. Until it is, then perhaps a page can be devoted to it. But, I suggest if and when the song does come out, it can be added to the Britney Spears article that already exists, making it easier to be seen by interested parties.

If you disagree with this page’s proposed speedy deletion, please add: {{hang on}} to the top of the article, and then explain why you believe the article should not be deleted on its talk page. Thanks. Jeeny 04:22, 7 April 2007 (UTC)

GH's Mike Corbin

[edit]

It was rumored that Mike Corbin would be killed off on GH by a stray bullet during the ambush in Kelly's basement club. While Alcazar's men did attack, Mike was not involved nor even injured. It has not been officially confirmed that Ron Hale will be leaving the show. MysticBlue 04:42, 21 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

April & May 2007 edits to Britney Spears

[edit]

Please stop repeatedly adding unsourced material and changing the heading without discussing first. We have all been reverting your edits and asking you to participate in the discussion on the talk page for months; this process is getting very tedious.--Agnaramasi 06:19, 28 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Again, please stop making edits without discussing with other users as per WP:CON, including changing the heading titles and removing content. You have a very long history of unilaterally persuing your own agenda with this article, as demonstrated in the dozen or so comments on this talk page. If you continue to act in this manner I ensure that you receive an official warning, and if you continue, that you are temporarily blocked.--Agnaramasi 15:40, 6 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

How many warnings do you need?

Episode counts

[edit]

Thank you for your work on soap opera articles. However, please be aware that it's probably not a good idea to update episode counts for upcoming episodes. For all we know, episodes could be pre-empted. So, please try not to anticipate episode counts, thanks. --Elonka 07:08, 11 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Soapfan, I appreciate your help here, but please stop updating counts to future dates. --Elonka 21:19, 16 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

One Life to Live 10,000th episode

[edit]

Do you have a source that they've even taped this episode yet?! I notice you've marked all the actors rumored to be returning as "appeared" (past tense), but I think it's inappropriate until the episodes have aired. TAnthony 03:38, 1 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Soapfan. We welcome and appreciate your contributions, but we regretfully cannot accept original research, especially within articles dealing with living people. Britney redux

[edit]

You really jumped the gun on the title change of Britney's new album. We don't have a reliable source (your word that you heard it on the radio is not enough), and until we do it needs to be changed back. Jeffpw 06:19, 12 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Britney Spears performance at 2007 MTV Video Music Awards

According to Wikipedia Page History Statistics, you are one of the top contributors to Britney Spears. Britney Spears performance at 2007 MTV Video Music Awards probably should be merged into Britney Spears. -- Jreferee (Talk) 08:33, 15 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Blackout (Britney Spears album)

Thank you for uploading Image:WOMANIZER OFFICAL.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello Soapfan06! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 419 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

  1. Jackie Rosenbaum - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Thanks!--DASHBot (talk) 08:07, 25 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Jackie Rosenbaum has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

This person does not appear to meet the notability criteria. The only source cited is about Britney Spears, not about Jackie Rosenbaum.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
