Hi Soap, the idea of some tech switch to replace the individual templates is interesting but I'm not keen on your colour scheme. 6 and 9 come out almost the same on my PC and I think my colour vision is OK (though my screen may not be well calibrated). My colours were partly chosen because if I'm right having that mix should still give contrast if people have either of the common forms of colour blindness - the honey to mud range may not be to everyone's taste but because they progress as a mix of hues if you subtract any one colour they should still contrast. The other effect I was trying to go for was a fairly steady progression from one extreme to the other. In hindsight it would have been easier just to go for ten shades of grey, but I thought these were more visually appealing. That said I'm certainly up for a different range of colours, providing A they work for the various forms of colour blindness and B they have a "logical progression".
