- A lot of people like to point to the picture as a shocking thing that turned around the war
- Newspapers used the photos to further their own agendas mostly
- No context for the person being shot, described as a "Viet Cong suspect", name unknown
- Dead Americans was the main driver of public opinion, no visible change in public opinion polls when the execution happened
- No letters to the editor cared about the photo or film beyond "it was dinner hour, kids could've seen it"
- Lyndon B. Johnson fucked up the economy by paying for the Great Society and the war, so Americans didn't care all that much about Tet (am I understanding that right?)
- Johnson didn't really advocate for his own positions, could've rallied the US during Tet but didn't
