Ponies

If you happen to have a nice photo of a quality pony that is better groomed than the fuzz monster that heads the article and are willing to post it with a GDFL or public domain license, the article could use a good basic conformation shot of a "generic" pony. As for pony rides, I applaud anyone who treats their critters with dignity and respect. Are you at all familiar with the "pony pictures" of the 1950s and earlier, where photographers would bring cowboy regalia along with the pony and take portraits of children dressed as "lil' buckaroos?" Apparently it was quite the gig back in the days when Gene Autry and other things cowboy were hot. Not sure how well such an endeavor would go over today, but cute kid + cute pony = hmmm. Correction, ACW Generals, Thanks

Thanks for catching the typo of April 1865 on the firing of the first shot at Fort Sumter on the introductory article on the list of Civil War generals. I have probably re-read the article two or three times since posting my last revision because I have been thinking about the changes I need to make for clarity, to account for the split off of the two lists of generals and perhaps to briefly or to better explain why the introduction is a little longer than one might expect. Yet, I did not see the obvious error. The old saying about it being harder to proofread one's own writing at least sometimes is true, especially if one has gone through the paper a few times and missed a typo or error each time. A benefit of Wikipedia is that someone is likely to come along later and correct the error. It may be a few weeks before I do the revision since I am working on a couple of other articles and a list that I would like to finish first. I think we can get by with this article as is for a short time. You may want to look at the article again a few weeks from now when I expect I will have revised it. Grammatical error in Talk:Wilmington, Massachusetts

You made a grammatical error whilst complaining about grammatical errors in Talk:Wilmington, Massachusetts. You said, "There are several grammatical errors. (One need not worry about grammar, though, as many readers, including myself, are compulsive copyeditors, and will comb every last bug out of the grammar and spelling.)" This is incorrect. You should have said, "many readers, including me, are compulsive copy editors..." I attend the Tewksbury Memorial High School. I read your comment about its motto being and I quote crummy end quote. I'd like you to know that the motto provided is, I agree, rather long, but that is not the motto. Instead of making ridiculous assumptions that you did and calling it crummy, I think you should've found out the facts. I go there, and that motto provided, I scoff at it. That's a description of the school, not the motto. Every morning announcements, I hear the motto and that's not it. Please tell me why you said these things, because if you don't explain your reasonings, I might have to report what you said as disrespectful, because that is what it is.
