Herschel and referencing
[edit]Thanks for your comment at Talk:William Herschel, if you can add a paraphrase of that to the article that would be terrific. The important thing for verifiability policy is to cite the source: Wikipedia:Citing sources gives a bewildering range of options, increasingly people use footnote referencing, usually combined with Wikipedia:Citation templates either in the inline references, or in a "References" section.
My own preference is for using Template:Harvard citation no brackets between the inline tags, and putting the reference details in a references section using Template:Citation, but there are more informal ways of doing it, and usually we try to follow precedent. It's actually easier to get instant "cite web" etc. style references by using the Dilberri tool at Wikipedia:Citation tools, your mileage may vary. William Herschel hasn't really been organised or fully cited yet, so use the system you prefer and we'll try to improve the article. Anyway, hope that's not too much detail, ask if you want any help, . . dave souza, talk 15:35, 3 March 2009 (UTC)
Request for feedback
[edit]Hello there. I just answered your request for feedback here. Sorry it took so long :-/ not many people give feedback there. If you find my suggestions helpful, you should consider giving others feedback :-) By the way, since it took so long to answer, the thread got archived. I posted my feedback to you on the archive, but should you have any questions/comments you should probably contact me on my talk page (editing archives isn't generally a preferred action).
