Hi, how are you doing? Im new to this whole wikipedia thing. I think its is so much better than MySpace. Anyway I guess the reason Im emailing you is because of my edits on the Dr. Dobson page. I can see that you dont agree with the edit I made in his views on homosexuality, but can I ask you this: why do you feel that the following statements is importaint information to include on Dr. Dobsons wikipedia page?

Focus on the Family sponsors a monthly conference called “Love Won Out,” where many of the speakers are self-professed ex-gays. Held around the U.S., the conference encourages its attendees to believe that "homosexuality is preventable and treatable."[2] According to critics, Focus on the Family asserts that there is a "homosexual agenda" and associates gays with pedophilia.[2]

The source for the second and last sentences (#2) did not list a source for the information on thier page whin I visited it. Dont you think that would be considered a bad source, especially when the source is obviously a politial opponent of Dr. Dobson and his views?

Dobson has equated homosexuality with pedophilia before.

The link is no longer working, but if you check out the google's cache of his site, he says "For nearly sixty years, the homosexual activist movement and related entities have been working to implement a master plan that has had as its centerpiece the utter destruction of the family.6 Now the final battle is at hand: The institution of marriage and the Christian church are all that stand in the way of the movement's achievement of every coveted aspiration. Those goals include universal acceptance of the gay lifestyle, the discrediting of Scriptures that condemn homosexuality, muzzling of the clergy and Christian media, granting of special privileges and rights in the law, overturning laws prohibiting pedophilia, indoctrination of children and future generations through public education, and securing all the legal benefits of marriage for any two or more people who claim to have homosexual tendencies." Ok, but remember that the goal of wikipedia is not to be a political front, but to give information in an unbiased manner, with sources that are reputible and solid. On the very disscussion page it says that controversial info must not be poorly sourced. Therefore what I am saying is that either that information needs to come from a different source, or needs to be removed. And if a suitable source is found, it needs to be put in a language that is unbiased, understand where I am coming from? slimp01 07:07, 10 November 2006 (UTC)

Dobson's own website says he believes there is a homosexual agenda, which includes legalizing pedophilia. This isn't some site opposed to him making him sound worse than he actually is.--DrBat 03:26, 11 November 2006 (UTC)

Then you site that source. You find that page and cite it as the source. Im not arguing whether or not dobson said it or believes it, Im saying that the source that is used as the source of that information is a highly biased source, and really is second hand. The source needs to be first hand, or it needs to give the source for thier information, then you investigate that source and site it as the source. Remember wikipedia is supposed to be NON BIASED, its importaint that information be accurate and proveable.slimp01 20:39, 20 November 2006 (UTC)
