[edit]I especially like that you cleaned up and clarified several arts of the article. I agree that you could reword the first sentence, In the United States and Canada, which are home to the most diverse freshwater.... Overall, the paragraph could use a little more substance. Since it is about conservation, what types of conservation efforts are underway for mussels. [edit]First off you give some good details, citations, and remained neutral. The first sentence reads a little weird to me so you might want to reword it a little.
