A tag has been placed on Sri lanka almanac, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because it is an article about a certain website, blog, forum, or other web content that does not assert the importance or significance of that web location. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 7 under Articles, as well as notability guidelines for websites. Please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources which verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on Talk:Sri lanka almanac. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Thanks. Blanchardb 16:09, 3 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. I see you have created two identical articles, Sri lanka almanac vidyuth koshaya‎ and Sri lanka almanac, one of which has been nominated for deletion above. Leaving aside that last issue, if you wish to lead users to the same text, the way to do so is to create redirects, which removes the duty to update both sets of texts. Accordingly, I have changed Sri lanka almanac vidyuth koshaya‎ to redirect to Sri lanka almanac. Regards, — BillC talk 16:16, 3 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Conflict of interest

[edit]

If, as you claim on this image, you are the copyright holder for the web page Sri Lanka Almanac, then you have a conflict of interest. It is not appropriate for you to create articles about your own web site; if it is indeed notable, then someone else will inevitably create an article about it. -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 13:31, 4 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on User:Slavk, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Peacock (talk) 15:18, 5 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
