User talk:Slater Investments Ltd

[edit]Uh, you guys might want to read Wp:coi and related policies. Also your username is a violation of our policies aswell, so you'll probably be blocked in a bit for that. Right now it's very important you all understand the Wikipedia policies if you wish to stay around, but here's a word of advice from me, if you are only here to make an article on your company, don't, it's quite a fruitless effort. -GoatLordServant ☂ (Talk - Contribs) 14:39, 27 September 2021 (UTC)

[edit]You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose. Additionally, if your contributions to Wikipedia form all or part of work for which you are, or expect to be, paid, you must disclose who is paying you to edit.
Please also note that you are permitted to use a username that contains the name of a company or organization if it identifies you individually, such as "Sara Smith at XYZ Company", "Mark at WidgetsUSA", or "FoobarFan87".
If your username does not represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}
at the bottom of your talk page.
You may simply create a new account, but you may prefer to change your username to one that complies with our username policy, so that your past contributions are associated with your new username. If you would prefer to change your username, you may appeal this username block by adding the text
{{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}
at the bottom of your talk page. Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a listing of already taken names.

Request reason:
Your reason here: struggling to understand why this has been blocked when there are multiple pages for the likes of JP Morgan, Goldmansachs, Brevan Howard who have their entity name on their profiles. Slater Investments Ltd (talk) 14:53, 11 October 2021 (UTC)
Decline reason:
Wikipedia does not have "profiles", not a single one. Wikipedia has articles. I think that you have confused creating an article with creating an account. This is your account user talk page, meant for communication with you, the person sitting at the computer. You chose to name this account after your company, which violates the username policy as accounts are for individuals. Please follow the instructions to propose a new username that reflects the fact a specific individual is exclusively operating this account(your real name or any proper name is not required, just something unique). 331dot (talk) 16:29, 11 October 2021 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
Please also read about conflict of interest and paid editing for information on required formal disclosures.
I will let you know that just because other companies in your field merit articles does not mean that your company does too. See other stuff exists. A company merits a Wikipedia article if it receives significant coverage in independent reliable sources that have chosen on their own to write about it(not based on press releases, interviews, company announcements, or any other materials put out by the company) showing how it meets Wikipedia's special definition of a notable company. 331dot (talk) 16:29, 11 October 2021 (UTC)
