"Fair of Sorotchintsy" and other Russian titles
[edit]A number of Russian works on your list in fact already have articles dedicated to them. Two I've noticed are "Fair of Sorotchintsy" and "Sheherazade (Rimsky-Korsakov)": but because of the inevitable tricksiness of transliterating from Russian they are respectively headed The Fair at Sorochyntsi and Scheherazade (Rimsky-Korsakov). Perhaps your headings should be used for redirects to these pages (I'm not sure what the protocol for this is - please excuse me, I'm a newbie). Alfietucker (talk) 21:13, 18 April 2009 (UTC)
- As suspected as much, but couldn't find proper redirects in short notice. You could help by creating redirects to articles you know because the entries are based on titles I found in a music dictionary -it will help people find proper pieces later - Skysmith (talk) 15:16, 22 April 2009 (UTC)
Karl Geiringer
[edit]I just finished an article on Austrian musicologist Karl Geiringer, who is on your list. Not sure how I'm supposed to indicate this ...

Otto Kinkeldey
[edit]Likewise for Otto Kinkeldey, first president of AMS, who is on your list. --CaritasUbi (talk) 07:39, 27 June 2009 (UTC)
Screening musical compositions gradually
[edit]I'm going through things slowly trying to identify some of the works. So far, I've done Beethoven, Schubert, Schumann and Tchaikovsky. Rather more of the works listed have already had articles than not. I suspect that when I get onto less mainstream composers, this will change. I also suspect that a lot of works will remain without articles ofr a long time. Opera, for example, is not regarded as one of Schubert's strengths and I therfore can't seepeople rushing to create articles on the three or four you list. Some of his lieder are better known and may get addressed.--Peter cohen (talk) 15:28, 8 April 2010 (UTC)
