Portal on Intelligence

[edit]

Hi there. This is Sven_Manguard from #wikipedia-en-help.

Tomorrow afternoon I'm going to start setting up the portal itself. I'll take several hours to get the pages created, and that's before we even actually put anything in them, so I'm not going to start it now.

In the mean time, please jot down anything you want to see put in the portal, so that I can make sure that it gets built in. Take a look at some of the Portals at Portal:Featured portals and see what you want.

Also list any other ideas you have. I have a few of my own ideas and we can pool them. Right now, however, I'm falling asleep at my keyboard, so I'm calling it a night.

This will take a while, so there's no rush.

Look forward to working with you, Sven Manguard Wha? 08:03, 27 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Mystery

[edit]

Please solve this mystery if you can...

On September 23rd, traffic to Portal:James Bond doubled, and has stayed at the new level since then. I can't figure out what happened.

See http://stats.grok.se/en/201109/Portal%3AJames_Bond

Traffic to Outline of James Bond stayed the same (though it was at the higher-level already), which leads me to suspect changes made somewhere in Wikipedia.

See http://stats.grok.se/en/201109/Outline%20of%20James_Bond

I'd like to find out what happened, in case it reveals helpful link placement tips that can double the traffic to outlines too!

I look forward to your reply on my talk page. The Transhumanist 00:15, 6 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button or located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when they said it. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 14:14, 17 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
