What I changed

[edit]

I made edits to the actual Wikipedia article on Leta Stetter Holligworth, but in case my changes are deleted again this is what I changed, and this is what I wrote on the article's talk page: I reworded some of the sentences in the early childhood and education sections and added some additional information. I felt that some of the details I added were important to get a better idea of what her childhood looked like. I also felt it important to add a little more about where she first developed her passion for writing and some of the positions she was placed in as an early writer.

I read your contribution in the sandbox,Skylar, and it looks good, but I thought you would provide an explanation here for what you did. You might try publishing your work on Wikipedia to see what the reviewers say. Dperkins16 (talk) 19:26, 21 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The changes that I made for Leta Stetter Hollingworth's page are in the Early life and Education section. I added more information about her childhood. Specifically I went more in-depth into the hardships that she endured as a child. I also added some lines about her academic work at the University of Nebraska. I added how she was the editor of some newspapers and received Phi Bea Kappa honors. I also included some references to back up my contributions, but I am still trying to figure out how to properly cite them in Wikipedia. I am still trying to figure out how to make a reference list because right now there are some errors in my citations. Looks good, Skylar - nice inserts that give the reader a more 3-dimensional image of Leta. Dperkins16 (talk) 16:20, 12 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
