Changes to Samuel R. Delany
Hi - I wanted to thank you for removing the image sizes from the images in this edit [1] - I hadn't thought to check the policy and didn't realize there was something in there about explicit image sizing. Personally I always preferred to use simply "thumb", and have met some editors who have disagreed and added the size parameters, and not wanting a fight (or not even noticing, as is the case on SRD), I never really brought up the issue when people added them to my pics. Going forward, if I see someone adding a parameter like this again I'll be sure to point it out f I notice it. Tduk (talk) 21:05, 21 February 2016 (UTC)
Great Transfer Rainbow Body
It still says Great Transfer Rainbow Body is achieved at death. This is incorrect.VictoriaGraysonTalk 19:28, 23 February 2016 (UTC)
- Yeah, it's written poorly. And it only discusses two of the three forms. I didn't add it, but it can be corrected. I've read several different books in the last week and know I have a proper source for all three (I just need to figure out which book it was!). If you know something is incorrect, first check the source and see if the new addition can be corrected to conform more accurately to the source. Or find another source you believe to be more accurate. Don't just remove new material! Skyerise (talk) 19:31, 23 February 2016 (UTC)
Not Sourced
I have this book in front of me. There is nothing about rainbow body on the page.VictoriaGraysonTalk 19:32, 23 February 2016 (UTC)
- It seems the page number and author are incorrect.VictoriaGraysonTalk 19:34, 23 February 2016 (UTC)
Tamarind
About this edit and your "please do not expand this unsourced list w/o providing sources," I provided a source. But I'm curious why removed Ruth Asawa's name. No artist on that list has a source. Will you remove all the other artists on the list, since they aren't sourced? Chisme (talk) 16:30, 10 March 2016 (UTC)
- Yes, the list is not sourced and has been tagged for some time. Eventually myself or someone else will remove it. Skyerise (talk) 03:37, 12 March 2016 (UTC)
Mediation
I have lodged a request for mediation on the J. Ralph page here. Karst (talk) 21:24, 21 March 2016 (UTC)
A favour
Hallo Skyerise, a couple of years ago you (under Username Yworo) were instrumental in ending a lengthy dispute about the nationality of Enrico Fermi. You did that applying the WP:OPENPARA guideline. Now there is a debate at ANI (here) about the usage of this guideline. I would be very grateful if you could intervene there and briefly explain its usage. Thanks, Alex2006 (talk) 13:56, 24 March 2016 (UTC)
- Done. Page also watchlisted. Skyerise (talk) 21:59, 25 March 2016 (UTC)
Timothy Leary
Most of the relevant discussion is not on the talk page, it's at WP:ORN#Sources to support claim that Timothy Leary was a philosopher. Msnicki (talk) 02:29, 18 April 2016 (UTC)
- Wikipedia is not a majority democracy. A poll is useless in this case, as the discussion is between those who provide reliable sources that mention Leary as a philosopher, and those who say "But you have no sources" ad infinitum. What you don't see is agreement. But there is a clear consensus. --OpenFuture (talk) 22:15, 18 April 2016 (UTC)
The Gospel of Simon: Revelation of the Sacred Mysteries
Regarding your deletion of the citations from the Bibliography: when I first created the page, that was not included. I added it as a result of a criticism from another user, attempting to satisfy their concern. It was in no way an attempt to cause "spam" on wiki (whatever that is).Christopher Carpenter (talk) 23:18, 9 May 2016 (UTC)
ISBNs
Hi. You restored some invalid ISBNs. Do you have any proof that these books actually exist? For instance this link that 9847027700459 is a valid ISBN-13 which clearly is not. goodreads.com is not a reliable source when it comes to ISBNs. Unless I am wrong.
