Your edit to Andrew Marr
[edit]Hi, and a belated welcome to Wikipedia. There's a lot to learn, so nobody minds if something isn't done quite in the right way. In this particular case, it's not using links within a direct quote: more here. Stick with it, and all the best.--Old Moonraker (talk) 21:53, 7 January 2010 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Nicola Sturgeon, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. BASIC countries
[edit]Hi. I've just seen your merge of 'G4 Bloc' into 'BASIC countries'. I'm sure it was well meant but, as I've discussed on the Talk page, probably not correct.
I wouldn't normally revert without discussing, but have done this time, as if further edits were made it would only muddy the waters. And if material about 'G4 Bloc' is relevant, it is easily retrievable.
Thanks for your understanding. Earthlyreason (talk) 15:46, 27 January 2010 (UTC)
Disambiguation
[edit]Hi - I see that you've been moving some articles with disambiguators such as (politician) or (Scottish politician) to instead have the disambiguator (SNP). Please don't do this - not everyone knows what SNP stands for, and the general principle is always to prefer generic terms to proper nouns and avoid abbreviations - see Wikipedia:Disambiguation#Naming the specific topic articles and Wikipedia:Naming conventions (people)#Qualifier between bracketing parentheses. Edit summaries
[edit]Hi, you don't appear to be entering edit summaries. Tim PF (talk) 22:26, 2 June 2011 (UTC)
- I'd been meaning to say exactly the same thing. You cannot continue the way you are. Edit summaries are compulsory for editors like yourself who are often doing drastic re-writes. --Mais oui! (talk) 04:17, 3 June 2011 (UTC)

[edit]I was just about to turn the redlink Scottish Development International into a bluelink when I spotted your subpage. I'll hang on and let you develop an article if you like. --Mais oui! (talk) 07:51, 28 March 2012 (UTC)
Labour Club listed at Redirects for discussion
[edit]An editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect Labour Club. Since you had some involvement with the Labour Club redirect, you might want to participate in the redirect discussion (if you have not already done so). – hysteria18 (talk) 23:39, 19 April 2012 (UTC)
The article Malcolm Fleming (SNP) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Has done a lot of interesting work, and some with notable people, but not established that he meets WP:NOTABILITY himself
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Boleyn (talk) 07:41, 10 March 2013 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
