Your submission
[edit]Greetings. Thank you for having interest in editing on Wikipedia. Writing your first article may be challenging but there are some guides to help you through. Reason for being declined as an essay is because of your writing style and tone. You would have to readjust the way you write. You can read the blue hyperlink guide and to refer to similar articles on Wikipedia. There is a list included in your article. Such a list could be either done with or written as a paragraph.
Example: In 2017, on the 25th anniversary of the original document, a “World Scientists’ Warning to Humanity: A Second Notice” was created by ecologist William J. Rippleand seven other authors. (1st line of 2nd paragraph) In 2017, ecologist William J.R with other seven authors wrote the publication in conjunction with the document's 25th anniversary.
For your sources, Cite third party sources: mainstream publications, newspapers, magazines or books. Stay away from homepages and official websites. Sources must provided extensive and in-depth coverage, a whole article that is.
Since it is your first article, I greatly suggest you to post a question to the AfC Helpdesk to get some better advice from editors with more than 10 years of experience. They might give better advice than what I give here. Cheers and happy editing. EROS message 10:52, 18 April 2018 (UTC)
