She received her MD from Brussels, and like Dagmar Berne, Dissent was licensed through the Triple Qualification from the Scottish medical and surgical colleges, the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh, the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, and Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow.[3]
