[edit]Hello, I'm Materialscientist. I noticed that in this edit to Cyanovirin-N, you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Materialscientist (talk) 05:54, 2 May 2023 (UTC)
- I am very sorry, it was by mistake. I'll make sure to add thing detail in summary about my changes. Sita1999 (talk) 05:56, 2 May 2023 (UTC)
Reliable sources
[edit]When adding material about medical or biomedical issues, WP:MEDRS applies. This standard recommends that primary research (i.e. experimental results published directly by the experimenters) be given less credence than secondary research (survey articles that evaluate the results of multiple primary research results). In this edit to Cyanovirin-N, you relied in primary research, so that material has been reverted. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 14:52, 2 May 2023 (UTC)
- Thank you so much! Can you please give an suggestion how to improve it? Sita1999 (talk) 15:14, 2 May 2023 (UTC)
- I've discussed the matter at length at Talk:Cyanovirin-N, but briefly, if you want to make claims that cyanovirin-N is an effect preventative for HIV, you'll need to cite journal papers that have surveyed multiple primary research reports to assure that the results are repeatable. Also, as in the case of your reference to Bewley and Otero-Quintero's article in Methods in Enzymology, it would help if the articles you cite actually exist. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 13:09, 3 May 2023 (UTC)
- I missed type reference that's why you were not able to find an article for that. Here's the correct reference : Bewley, C., Gustafson, K., Boyd, M. et al. Solution structure of cyanovirin-N, a potent HIV-inactivating protein . Nat Struct Mol Biol 5, 571–578 (1998). https://doi.org/10.1038/828
- Can you please check now and provide an feedback on it. Sita1999 (talk) 20:27, 3 May 2023 (UTC)
- Checked, and updated to use proper citation templates. (That's not strictly necessary, but it does keep everything uniform.) WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 20:46, 3 May 2023 (UTC)
