User talk:Sissok Nagazi
My apologies for assuming that you were trying to use Wikipedia as a free host. That was unfair of me and I should have assumed better faith than that.
As for why I removed the information beyond my ill-considered concerns about hosting, we have guidelines about notability to judge what ought to be written about and what ought not be. To make the encyclopedia as high-quality as possible, we have to make sure that the contents of articles are as relevant as possible. We can't have information on everything that exists, so instead limit articles to notable, famouse, and important things. Unless the Nagazi Guild becomes known outside of the gaming community (one of the measures of notability is something being known beyond the community in which it starts), information on it doesn't belong in a Wikipedia article. Since Wikipedia is an encyclopedia and not a Google replacement, that a small number of people would find it useful for locating information about the guild isn't an influencing factor.
Note that you are welcome to put (a little) information about the guild and some links on your user page or a subpage in your userspace, and Google will find that information there, too. (My userpage is the 11th hit for "saxifrage".) How much is reasonable is a judgement call; Wikipedia:User page has some guidance on this. — Saxifrage ✎ 18:51, 22 August 2006 (UTC)
Oh, quite apart from all that, I should to remind you to sign your Talk page comments. The software automatically replaces four tildes (~~~~) with your signature when you save an edit, so placing them at the end of your comment will sign that comment. It makes it easier to keep track of who said who. — Saxifrage ✎ 19:10, 22 August 2006 (UTC)
- No apology about the signature necessary. It's not obvious, and gotta learn somehow! — Saxifrage ✎ 19:59, 22 August 2006 (UTC)
