[edit]Hi Sim(ã)o(n)-
I stumbled on a comment you left on someone’s talk page. I have finished reformatting the first section of the table/list. I have bolded two incidents which are undisputed acts of terrorism for you to remove as you see fit.
I’ve got a few questions as you move forward working on a table format for this list. 1) Would you like to make a few columns that can be sorted individually? For example, the ability to sort by date(year), country, etc. 2) In a very cursory look at the incidents it seems that there is some other potential sortable information like civilian versus military, incidents that occurred on the ground or in the air, single versus multiple (i.e., collision), type of craft (hot air balloon/airship versus propeller versus jet)
I’ve been trying my hand at constructing tables recently and took a very rough conceptual stab at this list based only on the information currently present. I’ve created a sample which I’ve added to the bottom of your sandbox workspace. If this is not what you are aiming for, please delete it, absolutely no hard feelings at all.
Let me know what you think.--Godot13 (talk) 01:23, 26 April 2013 (UTC)
- Hello, Godot! Your job was absolutely amazing! Thank you very much! I wasn't coming here too often because I don't have much time. Thank you once again!
- Now, let me turn to the news you don't wanna hear! (just kidding)
- That "someone's talk page" you mentioned in the beginning is the talk page of the article List of accidents and disasters by death toll. This work has been requested from other users to improve that page, and it still has to be done with other sections. The aviation was just the beginning! HA HA HA! (evil laugh) (just kidding)
- I don't think it's a good idea to highlight any crashes caused by terrorism, so I have deleted those bold formats. If you think it is a good idea, discuss that in the article's talk page.
- About turning this list into tables, it was proposed by another user, and it's being discussed in that talk page. Let's do nothing about it for a while. If you wanna give your opinion, do it on the talk page.
- Now, back to the good news:
- I'm gonna paste what you've done onto that list, with a message on the talk page, where I will publicly appreciate and thank you for this major contribution of yours.
- A similar work will have to be done on the other lists of that article. If you think you can do that work all in once with some of those lists, you can do it directly on the article. If not, paste the lists on one of our sandboxes, and, if possible, we will both try to contribute.
- I will keep that table you've created my sandbox, to serve as a "private lesson" for me, if I ever need to create a table. Thank you for it!
- Once again, thank you for all you've done! -- Sim(ã)o(n) * Wanna talk? See my efforts? 18:45, 26 April 2013 (UTC)
- My pleasure. I'll start working on the other lists...--Godot13 (talk) 23:35, 26 April 2013 (UTC)
