Editing writing of other editors on talk pages.
[edit]Please do not edit the writing of other editors on talk pages. Under no circumstances is that considered acceptable, even to correct minor, minor errors, or to insert a space where you think one is needed. I really resented your changing ambiguous to ambiguity in one of my posts -- while that might be preferable word usage in British English, I speak and write American English. Consequently, you made not only an unnecessary change, but one that made a semantic change to my message. Drmargi (talk) 05:36, 5 March 2011 (UTC)
- No sweat! I saw you were a fairly new editor (or so it appears), and thought it was better to point it out early rather than leave you to be eaten alive by someone less patient. Drmargi (talk) 04:52, 6 March 2011 (UTC)
Spooks - Death of "Lucas North"
[edit]In the DVD extras for series 9, I've found a quote by Richard Armitage saying that his character is dead and used that to update the page. Of course, that has lead to a conflict. As the only other non-IP contributor to the discussion I figured you might bring in an independent voice on the matter. If you could take a look and make a comment that would be great. At the moment it's two people with opposite opinions. A third voice would at least settle the matter for the time being. If you decide that my source is unreliable, the so be it and we can revert. If not, we can have a mini-consensus to keep it as is. I just don't like leaving it how it is with the only other voice contesting it. Thanks in advance Duggy 1138 (talk) 09:34, 7 June 2011 (UTC)
- Cool. Thanks. I certainly wouldn't ask you to accept everything I say without checking it. But if you watch it the context is clear (They're playing the confrontation scene as he says it, and immediately after is the "I'm nothing" line.) But I appreciate your input. Thanks. Non-free rationale for File:CoH2 initial box art (re-sized).jpeg
[edit]Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:CoH2 initial box art (re-sized).jpeg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 11:30, 8 October 2012 (UTC)
