Hello and welcome. Great username by the way. I thought I would explain why I have reverted your edit here. The first point was WP:MOS but the other points, which you have restored without discussion, were that 'kids' is an informal, slang word, so children is preferred in an encyclopedia. The parentheses were better because by removing them it reads 'a contest to design' and, finally, it is a subplot and 'meanwhile' is not an improvement, it's just different and, in my opinion, worse.

Please review WP:BRD, which is a really helpful guideline.

You make a good point with Reshma Shetty and that Micah becomes a more important character in the final season so you can add Daniel Dae Kim to the list again if you want, this isn't a subject I'm inclined to edit war over.
