While I did use History vs. Hollywood in several places as a source, much of the same information appears in specials released by CNN and Dateline and in many other areas. I will review those citations and replace them with more reputable sources. Thanks! ADsillygoat (talk) 17:15, 28 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I have reworked the article to include more reliable sources, including an informative article from CNN. Am I okay to resubmit it? Thanks again. ADsillygoat (talk) 17:55, 28 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, you can resubmit and another reviewer will take a look, although I suspect he likely falls under WP:BIO1E and does not warrant a stand-alone article. S0091 (talk) 18:33, 28 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I wondered about that, but I also read this from that page: "However, if media coverage of both the event and the individual's role grow larger, separate articles may become justified." His role in the Larry Hall event was significant, and the media coverage has been pretty varied and focuses on him, not solely on Hall or only mentioning Keene in passing. Because he's written books and was involved with the miniseries and other documentaries by CNN and Dateline on the topic, it seems like many people probably come to know about the other articles related to this page because of notable coverage about this individual. ADsillygoat (talk) 20:34, 28 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I edited and published the changes but don't see a resubmit button. Is there such a thing, and if so, how do I find it? Thanks you. ADsillygoat (talk) 22:00, 28 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
That because you removed the decline and the comments, which should not be removed. I have added it back which now has the resubmit button. It may not been your intent, but removing declines, comments, etc. is considered disruptive. S0091 (talk) 22:06, 28 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for fixing it. I wasn't trying to remove anything I shouldn't--just the notice that I didn't disclose a conflict of interest because that was already resolved and shouldn't have been there in the first place. ADsillygoat (talk) 22:40, 28 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello SillyGoatMedia. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:SillyGoatMedia. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=SillyGoatMedia|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. S0091 (talk) 22:02, 26 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! I did attempt to disclose my contract work for an editing client on the account user page using the template provided by Wikipedia. Does that not show up? Did I put it in the wrong place? I do not know the person the page is based on and have tried to follow all of Wikipedia's rules closely. I wasn't aware of how to go through AOC, but I will try that next after making some revisions and disclosing COI. Please let me know where else I can disclose that I've been paid to help a third party in the meantime. While I am a professional editor who receives pay, this article is meant to be informative and not promotional. Thank you for your help! SillyGoatMedia (talk) 15:44, 27 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Note that on Wikipedia there is no difference between "informational" and "promotional". Wikipedia articles are not for merely providing information; they should primarily summarize what independent reliable sources say about the topic. 331dot (talk) 17:51, 27 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
You disclosed correctly but I apparently failed to look at your User page. Apologies. S0091 (talk) 18:19, 27 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, thanks. Is there a way to remove the notice that I did not disclose correctly at the top of the draft? ADsillygoat (talk) 17:17, 28 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I see that the notice can be deleted on my end. Am I allowed to do so once we've addressed the issue here? Thanks again. ADsillygoat (talk) 17:53, 28 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames which give the impression that the account represents a group, club, organization, company, or website, I have blocked this account from editing. You are welcome to continue editing after you have chosen a new username that complies with Wikipedia's username policy.

You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable, regardless of the username that you choose. Additionally, if your contributions to Wikipedia form all or part of work for which you are, or expect to be, paid or compensated in any way, you must disclose who is paying you to edit here.

Please take a moment to either create a new account, or request a username change of your current account here. The new username that you choose must represent you as an individual person, and it must comply with Wikipedia's username policy.
  • To create a new account with a different username, simply log out of this account and then click here to make a new one.
  • If you prefer to change the username on this account, you may do so by adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page here: {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.

Please note that the new username you choose cannot already be taken or in use by another account. You can go here to search and see if the username you'd like to choose is available. If the search returns that no global account with that username exists, that means it is available to be taken.

Please also note that you are permitted to use a username that contains the name of a company or organization if it also identifies you individually, such as "Sara Smith at XYZ Company", "Mark at WidgetsUSA", or "FoobarFan87", but not "SEO Manager at XYZ Company".

Appeals: If your username does not represent a group, organization, website, or other entity described above, and if you believe that this block was incorrect or made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page here: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}

Thank you.
