Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Dýnamó logo.PNG

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Dýnamó logo.PNG. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 04:16, 2 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello Siggi31! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 139 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

  1. Dagur B. Eggertsson - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Varðandi Iceland national handball team

[edit]

Ég sá að þú breyttir Ranking í greininni úr 12 í 19 og tel ég það vera misskilning. Listinn sem þú vísar í á vefsíðu Alþjóða handknattleikssambandsins er Overall-staða íslenskra liða sem heyra undir HSÍ, þ.e.a.s. liði karla, kvenna, ungliða beggja kynja o.s.fv.

Ranking Table (staða íslenskra liða):

  • Overall: 19
  • Men: 12
  • Women: ekki á listanum
  • Men's Junior: 10
  • Women's Junior : 41
  • Men's Youth: 12
  • Women's Youth: ekki á listanum
  • Men's Beach: ekki á listanum
  • Women's Beach: ekki á listanum

- Sæll Stefán Örvarr. Eftir nánari athugun sé ég að þetta er rétt hjá þér. Mér fannst þetta líka dálítið skrýtið. Þessu hefur verið breytt til betri vegar. Siggi31 (talk) 18:10, 17 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The article Dýnamó Höfn has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Completely amateur club that never played in the Icelandic Cup or the Icelandic football league system, fails WP:GNG

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Framhaldsskólinn í Austur-Skaftafellssýslu, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Public school (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Handball

[edit]

Hey, sorry for that. Was using the IHF document given for the squad article and just copy/paste it into the team articles. Kante4 (talk) 15:41, 18 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

No big harm done. I've already fixed it. Some of what you did was actually fine. In Iceland we have some "problems" with sports clubs playing all kinds of sports, so if you link a handball or basketball player to an Icelandic team, you almost always get the football team, by default. Separate articles for their handball parts simply haven't been created yet, therefore I would have preferred to keep Sverre's team link to what it was. I might change it later. Otherwise, thank you for your edits about the great sport of handball. Siggi31 (talk) 15:54, 18 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I plan on creating the articles for players at the WC during the next weeks. The problem with the clubs is not only for Icelandic teams, but i prefer to have a link to a team (even when it's mostly about football) than a redlink. ;) Kante4 (talk) 15:58, 18 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Heimildir um handbolta

[edit]

--Siggi31 (talk) 19:07, 8 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
