NCAA Tournament summaries
[edit]Good job, but please use the past tense. When you write "Duke advances to face Team X," or "Kansas gets Team Y," that wording is only valid for some 48 hours. Instead, I suggest using "Duke advanced' to face Team Y," because that will be valid forever. It is in the past tense. Pats1 T/C 13:25, 20 March 2010 (UTC)
North Bergen, New Jersey
[edit]Hi, and welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, but we cannot accept original research, such as this edit of yours to North Bergen, New Jersey. Original research refers to material obtained through personal knowledge, or unpublished syntheses of previously published material, rather than material that is supported by reliable, verifiable sources. Please make sure you cite a reliable source for all of the information you add or re-add to articles. You can learn how to do this at Wikipedia:Citing sources. If you have any other questions about editing, just let me know. Thanks :-) Nightscream (talk) 01:53, 2 April 2010 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from Comcast. When removing text, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the text has been restored, as you can see from the page history. You are now a Reviewer
[edit]Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.
Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.
When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.
If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 18:09, 19 June 2010 (UTC)
Collaborative news on quippd
[edit]Hey, I noticed that you had recently edited the Emmys article, and I hoped that you could help out on another collaborative community edited project.
I run quippd, a collaboratively edited social news site, which mixes elements of Wikis, social networking, and social news sites. You can get some more information about what we are doing at: http://quippd.com/about/intro
Basically, we want to get good coverage on news stories, collaboratively edited, like Wikipedia. We are trying to take the ideas of WikiFactCheck -- to make news less biased and speedier (unlike something like Wikinews). By combining social elements to the project, we hope to bring the benefits of wiki enabled fact checking and npov ideas to the masses.
I hope you check us out -- and feel free to contact me with any questions, comments, or concerns.

Mariska Hargitay
[edit]Hi. Please do not add unsourced material or original research to articles, as you did with this edit to Mariska Hargitay, as this violates Wikipedia's policies of No Original Research and Verifiability. Thanks. :-) Nightscream (talk) 21:10, 12 March 2011 (UTC)
Katie Couric
[edit]I've corrected your edit on the Katie Couric article about Katie Couric's upcoming talk show replacing the The Oprah Winfrey Show.
Katie's and Oprah's talk shows are both syndicated shows, not network shows. Technically, a syndicated show does not replace any show in particular. Likewise, a syndicated show does not get replaced by another show in particular. Therefore, Katie's talk show won't replace Oprah's talk show. It may in some markets (like NYC for example), but not on television as a whole.
Shows replacing each other strictly concerns network shows, not syndicated shows.

DYK for 2012 National League Wild Card Game
[edit]On 16 October 2012, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article 2012 National League Wild Card Game, which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that the 2012 National League Wild Card Game was delayed for 19 minutes when fans threw debris on the field? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/2012 National League Wild Card Game. You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and it will be added to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page. |

Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution
[edit] Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Jemele Hill into Criticism of ESPN. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution
. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. If you are the sole author of the prose that was copied, attribution is not required. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 09:23, 19 April 2019 (UTC)
