Review by Marciume (Attilio Rizzoli)
[edit]General remarks
-->Sometimes you use Typha, sometimes Typha (italic) -->You could add some more relevant inner-links to other wikipedia articles (see section by section)
Culinary uses
"When processed into flour it contains 266 kcal per 100 g."
-->what is exactly processed into flour? rhizomes?
"These are starchy, but also fibrous, so the starch must be scraped or sucked from the tough fibers. If the plants grow in polluted water the rhizomes can accumulate lead or residues of pesticides and should not be eaten.[11]"
-->space
-->add more inner-links to other wikipedia articles: pesticides, cossacks, asparagus, lineoleic acid, etc.
Uses
Building material
-->general remark: the three paragraphs may be more linked together by using connectors as "in addition", "in the past", "also", "even",…
"For the local tribes, Typha was one of the most important plants and every part of the plant had multiple uses."
-->no comma
Paper
-->add some inner-links
Fiber
-->add some inner-links

Article
[edit]Hoi Mätt,
I really liked you text! It is very well written, contains a lot of information and is reader-friendly. One can tell you did much research.
Remarks: I would take out the last sentence in the first section, you have it already in another part of your article. But you could say something like: Typha products have a broad spectrum of possible uses.
Description Here you could rename it (possibly Morphology) and list all morphological features you named in this chapter and in other chapters. I believe it would organise the information nicely.
General ecology I would try to give mor subtitles in this chapter because it ist quite long. You could also do a new chapter, where you talk about the sexual and asexual reproduction, then you would have to take some information out of the chapter beforehand.
Uses I found it very interessting what you said in this chapter. Do you know if it is still eaten somewhere? I did not really catch this information. You could talk a little more about the nutritional value since you aleady have detailed table, maybe compare it to potato.
Other Uses The disintegrating heads are used by some birds to line their nests.-> I think this sentence belongs in the chapter general ecology.
Congrats, well done! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Hickma (talk • contribs) 16:54, 20 November 2012 (UTC)
