Commercial use of Image:Lesley Garrett as Cathy.jpg
[edit]Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Image:Lesley Garrett as Cathy.jpg, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Image:Lesley Garrett as Cathy.jpg is an image licensed as "for non-commercial use only" or "used with permission for use on Wikipedia only" which was either uploaded on or after 2005-05-19 or is not used in any articles (CSD I3).
If you created this media file and want to use it on Wikipedia, you may re-upload it (or amend the image description if it has not yet been deleted) and use the license {{GFDL-self}} to license it under the GFDL, or {{cc-by-sa-2.5}} to license it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license, or use {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain.
If you did not create this media file but want to use it on Wikipedia, there are two ways to proceed. First, you may choose one of the fair use tags from this list if you believe one of those fair use rationales applies to this file. Second, you may want to contact the copyright holder and request that they make the media available under a free license.
If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. This bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate Image:Lesley Garrett as Cathy.jpg itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. If you have any questions about what to do next or why your image was nominated for speedy deletion please ask at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thanks. --Android Mouse Bot 2 03:02, 13 June 2007 (UTC)

Notability of Terrell Newman
[edit]A tag has been placed on Terrell Newman, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}}
on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Agathoclea 17:50, 13 June 2007 (UTC)
Please refrain from introducing inappropriate pages, such as Terrell Newman, to Wikipedia. Doing so is not in accordance with our policies. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. --Finngall talk 22:59, 13 June 2007 (UTC)
Please do not remove article maintenance tags from articles unless you have fixed the problem indicated. Doing so is disruptive to the encyclopedia writing process and you may find your account blocked accordingly. Rklawton 03:52, 14 June 2007 (UTC)
Conflict of Interest warning - Stop using Wikipedia for advertising.
[edit]If you have a close connection to some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred from the tone of the edit and the proximity of the editor to the subject, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:
- editing articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with,
- participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors,
- linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam);
- and you must always:
- avoid breaching relevant policies and guidelines, especially neutral point of view, verifiability, and autobiography.
Accounts used solely for blatant self-promotion may be blocked indefinitely without further warning.
For more details, please read the Conflict of Interest guideline. Thank you. Jehochman Talk 04:25, 14 June 2007 (UTC)
Picture
[edit]Hi there. The reason I removed the picture firstly was because you can't really use a picture of a CD to illustrate a person (if it is a picture of a CD?). I don't really know a lot about images on Wikipedia but I do know that you can't really use that picture to illustrate Lesley Garrett. After I removed it and you replaced it, someone else removed it for a second time so I think it shows that it can't really be used. However, I don't tend to get involved in picture uploading in Wikipedia as it's a tricky business. Regards. Eagle Owl 15:21, 14 June 2007 (UTC)
- Fair Use images can be used only to illustrate articles or sections specifically about the CD/TV show/Magazine, etc. They can not be used to illustrate anything else. See WP:FUC for details. Rklawton 17:31, 14 June 2007 (UTC)
Reviews
[edit]It's not the reviews so much as the reviewer and the source. I'm not sure we need quotes from each reviewer but just a general summery of "favorable" (etc), though brief quotes aren't a problem. The main point, though is a full citation (publication, title, date, author, etc) - and that's still lacking. Based on your additions, though, I suspect these sources are at your fingertips. Use the information in WP:CITE to learn more about citations. Use WP:CITET for examples and templates. Good work. Rklawton 22:58, 14 June 2007 (UTC)
Tags changed
[edit]I removed the tags as requested, but added two others: a "stub" means it's incomplete, and "citation needed" means exact quotes, especially from legitimate reviwers, would be appreciated. Oh, and any editor can tag the articles thusly. The point is to improve the article, not to criticize, and I hope it wasn't taken as such. See the message above, for more of what I mean by citation. Bearian 17:17, 15 June 2007 (UTC)
- P.S., that was about Terrell Newman, of course, not your user-page itself. Bearian 17:23, 15 June 2007 (UTC)
Signing talkentries
[edit]It is good that you engage other editors on the talkpages - that way a there can be an exchange leading to a positive improvement in the articles. While you do could you do us all a little favour - please use ~~~~ to sign your entries. They way you currently sign leaves a link to an non-existing article about Siebahn rather linking back to your user/talk page. The ~~~~ will expand in a full link to your userpage and a timestamp. Thank you Agathoclea 23:10, 15 June 2007 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
