Managing a conflict of interest
[edit]Hello, Siddharthmenon2121. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Siddharth Menon (singer), you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{edit COI}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest § How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam § External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. — Czello (music) 14:04, 19 February 2024 (UTC)

Siddharth Menon (singer) unsourced editing behaviour
[edit]Hi @Siddharthmenon2121: Wikipedia rules require that you add references to content you add to an article. If you dont add references to the article when you construct it, you tend to get warnings and then you get blocked from Wikipedia. Take this as the first warning. If you add more content that is unsourced, I will issue more warnings against you. Wikipedia isn't forum, or webhost or substack or a blog. Its an encyclopedia and there are rules which you must follow. Its not cool. Take a look at WP:REFB. It will help you write proper citations. scope_creepTalk 16:32, 19 February 2024 (UTC)

Conflict of interest and edit requests
[edit]Hi, @Siddharthmenon2121: you have a WP:COI which is clearly seen from the edit summaries you have been leaving. You seem to be the subject. From this point forward, I suggest you don't edit the article directly. COI editors who need to update the article use the edit requests mechanism. You make a request on the talk page, an involved editor comes along and reviews the request. If its a good request it goes in. I would refrain from edit the article again. If you do edit it again, you risk being blocked. Hope that helps. scope_creepTalk 16:37, 19 February 2024 (UTC)
