There are many ways you can contribute to Wikipedia. Here are a few ideas:
  Fight vandalism
Be a WikiFairy or a WikiGnome
  Help contribute to articles

  Perform maintenance tasks
Become a member of a project that interests you
  Help design new templates

Remember to always sign your posts on talk pages. You can do this either by clicking on the button on the edit toolbar or by typing four tildes (~~~~) at the end of your post. This will automatically insert your signature, a link to this (your talk) page, and a timestamp.

The best way to learn about something is to experience it. Explore, learn, contribute, and don't forget to have some fun!
To get some practice editing you can use a sandbox. You can create your own private sandbox for use any time. Perfect for working on bigger projects. Then for easy access in the future, you can put {{My sandbox}} on your user page. By the way, seeing as you haven't created a user page yet, simply click here to start it.

Information icon Hello, I'm Tartan357. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Vladimir Putin have been undone because they did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse. Thanks.  — Tartan357  (Talk) 21:53, 13 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Vladimir Putin. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. Repeated vandalism may result in the loss of editing privileges. Thank you. Abbyjjjj96 (talk) 00:43, 14 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

My edit to Putin's page

[edit]

You removed my edit to Putin's page stating that it was non - constructive or unconstructive. Can you please tell me what is the definition of unconstructive ? And just because you have some more editing rights, it doesn't mean that you can go about removing edits under the garb of constructive/ non-constructive stuff. What I stated in the edit is the true feeling/opinion of thinking people worldwide. Shyamcalm (talk) 06:35, 14 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I assume that you're addressing me as you've made an identical comment on my talk page. Please try to keep discussion in one place. This is your talk page, so this is essentially a message that you're addressing to yourself. — Tartan357  (Talk) 12:17, 14 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

My edit to Putin's page

I wonder who has given you rights to revert/drop addition to the article, which are genuine and reflect the correct practical situations. Shyamcalm (talk) 11:33, 15 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be repeatedly reverting or undoing other editors' contributions at Vladimir Putin. Although this may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is known as "edit warring" and is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, as it often creates animosity between editors. Instead of reverting, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.

If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to lose their editing privileges. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, and violating the three-revert rule is very likely to result in loss of your editing privileges.

Please stop replacing "Acting" in the infobox with "As acting President". Your edit summaries that the former is "incorrect" are misleading. Your change clutters the infobox unnecessarily. Please take it to the talk page.  — Tartan357  (Talk) 16:42, 16 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2021 Elections voter message

[edit]
Hello! Voting in the 2021 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 6 December 2021. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2021 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:36, 23 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
