Speedy deletion nomination of Russell W. Axman
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Russell W. Axman requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. reddogsix (talk) 17:51, 14 February 2017 (UTC)
Notability
[edit]For an article to be on Wikipedia, what is needed is notability. That is notability by the policies made over the years by the Wikipedia community. For people, the policy is WP:BIO, and for all subjects WP:RS about the reliable independent sources needed to prove the notability. For people in the political world, there's also WP:POLITICIAN, which sets the base level as state legislature in the absence of any other personal notability. If you think you can get the references together that will prove notability, I will restore the article into your user space and contact an expert article rescuer (when she's back from wherever she's gone - not usually away for very long). Without references, there's no chance. About references, it's not what people know - it's what's published that counts. I used to put articles into user space before people worked on them, but then found that most weren't doing anything with them. I wait for a go ahead now. Just leave a message on my talk page - go to the last thread at the bottom and click edit on that thread. At the end of the thread, go down a line and type two pairs of = with a title in between the pairs - like this: ==Fred Bloggs==. Then go down a line and write your message. Sign it with ~~~~ which looks silly, but puts your signature and the time stamp on - like this: Peridon (talk) 19:00, 14 February 2017 (UTC)
- It's important to note our standards in these cases, WP:POLITICIAN which state that, in the case of Denham, he's not significant as a mayor to be notable. SwisterTwister talk 23:18, 14 February 2017 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of File:JakePorter.jpg
[edit]A tag has been placed on File:JakePorter.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Majora (talk) 04:44, 10 June 2018 (UTC)

[edit]Hello. Your recent edit to Primm, Nevada appears to have added the name of a non-notable entity to a list that normally includes only notable entries. In general, a person, organization or product added to a list should have a pre-existing article before being added to most lists. If you wish to create such an article, please first confirm that the subject qualifies for a separate, stand-alone article according to Wikipedia's notability guideline. Thank you.
