[edit]Your recent editing history at Malia Obama (First Daughter) shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. - The appropriate thing to do would be to convert the existing redirect, since there are no other notable Malia Obamas. While I think that there will be scope for an article soon, I don't see anything in your fork that isn't or can't be mentioned in the existing topic for the time being. And please stop attributing actions to political motives. Acroterion (talk) 22:42, 27 November 2016 (UTC)
Proposed deletion of Malia Obama (First Daughter)
[edit]The article Malia Obama (First Daughter) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- I agree with C.Fred, at this time her only significance is she's the President's daughter.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. - Mlpearc (open channel) 22:43, 27 November 2016 (UTC)
It has already been redirected so deletion is not right. Shorwak (talk) 03:46, 29 November 2016 (UTC)
I suggest you get cracking and write more on that article. On the other hand, it could be wasted effort. Good luck. Samswik (talk) 00:52, 28 November 2016 (UTC)

Proposed article
[edit]Hi Shorwak, editors are currently deciding whether the article you want is appropriate. They are discussing it at Talk:Family of Barack Obama#Split for Malia?, and that is where you should go to make your views known. If there's consensus to create a separate article, the protection will be lifted. If not, the redirect will stay in place (or be deleted as unnecessary). Please do go to the other page and argue your case there. Many thanks, SarahSV (talk) 03:50, 29 November 2016 (UTC)
OK, but know that page protection could very well be seen as heavy handed action that is prejudicial, especially since you wiped out the RFC and did not replace it. People who read the Family of Barack Obama article will have different feelings than those that read the Malia Obama (First Daughter) article or in general. But to comply with you, I have moved that RFC there. Shorwak (talk) 03:55, 29 November 2016 (UTC)
