Kinks
[edit]Well, I picked them from Internet. I went in Google and typed the Kinks and Ray Davies and Dave Davies and searched for them. I don't think that they were copy-righted but... if we have to... --Painbearer 09:35, 6 Feb 2005 (UTC)
I hate this... I hate doing this... I'm better off writing articles than doing this pic-shit. But', if these are the rules, I guess we just have to submit to them... >:( --Painbearer 22:00, 6 Feb 2005 (UTC)

Nobody welcomed me either
[edit]But, on reflection and having looked at other users, it is actually a compliment! A welcome tag is usually slapped on to somebody who is making worthwhile contributions but not doing it quite right - lack of wikilinks, non-NPOV, etc.
Your first contribution [1] was in impeccable wiki style, nobody noticed that it was from a new user and so you never got a welcome message. Don't be sad: be smug! -- RHaworth 08:07, 2005 Feb 21 (UTC)

more from Einar
[edit]I got an email from someone yesterday who had seen the Wired article and contacted me because he lives in Taos, the next town over [well, sort of] His copy was the first I'd seen of the article. which I think is pretty good.
Boy, I was looking at your Kinks stuff, wishing that the covers of my three - the first three - kinks albums were in better shape. Such records as I have have gone through a lot, including a flood and a lot of ice induced water damage. Still, mayby I'll try and PS them, see what I get.
If you want a nice photo related task, try getting copyrights to some Tina Modoti pictures, both ones of her by Edward weston, or ones by her. Just a thought.
Meanwhile, how is the college quest coming along? as I recall you are headed . . . . . . . . ....... somewhere soon? life is Good, Carptrash 03:30, 1 Mar 2005 (UTC)
Thanks
[edit]Thank you for your kind words on my talk page. I refuse to let someone run me off by vandalizing me. But as someone else said, "I guess I am a full-fledged Wikipedian since my talk page was vandalized". Dblevins2 01:16, 24 Mar 2005 (UTC)
Gallery caption wiki markup
[edit]I saw your comment at Wikipedia talk:Gallery#Wikipedia markup in captions. It looks like <gallery>
has been upgraded, and I can now italicize gallery captions. — Knowledge Seeker দ 04:30, 2 Apr 2005 (UTC)
- I like it too, although I get annoyed when it doesn't go away, because I keep thinking I have new messages. It especially seems to be a problem when I edit my talk page or archive, not sure why. Anyway, happy editing! — Knowledge Seeker দ 07:35, 2 Apr 2005 (UTC)
So I did - forgot about that one!!!! Selphie 11:30, 4 Apr 2005 (UTC) **
Thanks for the advice on that edit conflict with the anon... and thanks for the revert on my user page. I'm not sure if calling me a prostitute was supposed to go unnoticed or what?! Anyways, I've researched and written a few paragraphs now on the subject of the dispute. Perhaps that will smooth things over with the person. I got quite the diatribe on my user page from them.
I'll get the whole good faith thing figured out soon enough. :) Musser 01:15, 20 Apr 2005 (UTC)
Jackson Assassination Attempt
[edit]Just wondering, is there any specific reason that you moved the image of the etching to the left side? It kind of messes up the format I think. Bonus Onus 23:51, Jun 3, 2005 (UTC)
Gujarat Page
[edit]Shirimasen, you know nothing about Gujarat state and whatever you know is from English media. I suggest that you refrain from participating in pages on which you know nothing about. For the record, I challenge you to get the exact figures and not from the media but from reliable sources. Also if you have not done so, please visit that place and try to understand the local situation. Till then refrain from the edits.
[If you can, please revert your changes and check out the discussion page on that article. Also note that, your enormous contributions to wikipedia and the enthusiasm you bring to it is appreciated. Please keep up the good work and at the same time do try to read the discussion on such articles.]
Thanks for having my back
[edit]That's the second time 208.248.11.18 has hit my user page after I rv'd the Jim Croce page. Thanks! -- Dave C. 04:42, 12 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Re: Me too
[edit]Mmm, thank you for the revert on my user page as well. I guess one has to expect to make a few enemies doing RC patrol. :-) ~~Shiri — Talk~~ 05:00, Jun 12, 2005 (UTC)
- Yup. My counter is up to 30 at the moment and actually I think it's overdue for an update. CDVF has special code in it to highlight user page vandalism, though, so it's really rare for it to go unnoticed when any of the CDVF users are active. Kelly Martin 05:03, Jun 12, 2005 (UTC)
Doriandixon deleting my work
[edit]Thanks for undoing the deletions by user Doriandixon. I guess I ticked this user off when I pointed out that he was violating copyright by posting pictures of porn stars on Wiki entries about the porn stars. Is there some way to stop the user from deleting all of my work? --Alabamaboy 13:20, 14 Jun 2005 (UTC)
I've finished it. One fun fact I found during research was that it was not recorded in Miami like most of their singles, but at the Chateau d'Herouville in Paris. Mike H 15:45, Jun 14, 2005 (UTC)
Did you know?
[edit]Did you know? has been updated. A fact from the article Stayin' Alive, which you recently created, has been featured in that section on the Main Page. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently-created article, then please suggest it on the "Did you know?" talk page. |
Thank you
[edit]Hi Shirmimasen, I know this is overdue, but I wanted to thank you for supporting my RFA. Thanks to everyone who supported me, I have the proverbial mop and bucket, and I have used my new powers to the better of Wikipedia. Thank you! Linuxbeak | Talk | Desk 23:57, Jun 15, 2005 (UTC)

Well if you're here you you must have noticed the little box that announced that You have new messages. Thank you for the links, I couldn't find the coverage that they supplied. When I watched the concert (DVD) they only introduced Jools Holland as Sam was coming onstage and she certainly didn't look like Jools. I only knew that she often sang with Jools and was friendly with George so kind of guessed. Again. thanks for researching this for me, (or were you there?). I'll sleep better tonight. ;-) hydnjo talk 13:12, 18 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- Also, on the Article, I've fixed the Setlist and added the links that you provided. Oops I shouldn't have told you about this 'till tomorrow so that you would have gotten another message alert! ;-) hydnjo talk 13:42, 18 Jun 2005 (UTC)

- I'm speaking, for my part, about intrinsic bias in many articles, though he doesn't go about it in the best way some times. --TJive 05:10, Jun 26, 2005 (UTC)
- Smash the bourge--erm, sorry. --TJive 06:18, Jun 26, 2005 (UTC)
Hello, this is wadehouston. You sent me a message some time ago about the Jeff Beck image I uploaded. I found it via a google iamge search and have no idea about the copyright details, though it would probably be easy to find by running a google search on "jeff beck" if you yourself are interested in rectifying the problem at hand. Cheers, Wade.
