Mercenaries 2
[edit]It is not a personal rule. The rule is already available in wikipedia. The reason why i have deleted it because it is a game guide. Game guide is strictly not allowed in wikipedia. If you want to creates list of weapons, vehicles and so on i suggest you to open an account in [www.wikia.com] and request to start a mercenaries series in wikia and link that to wikipedia. I can help you with that if you need my help. About Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction thanks for letting me know. Thank you. --SkyWalker 07:54, 10 September 2007 (UTC)
Also i suggest you to read WP:VG/GL and WP:NOT again properly. --SkyWalker 08:15, 10 September 2007 (UTC)
- Don't you think adding list of units, vehicles, weapons looks like game manual?. --SkyWalker 19:13, 10 September 2007 (UTC)

Tiberium Dawn vs Tiberian Dawn
[edit]Hello, I've noticed you recently made a good faith edit to Command & Conquer: Tiberian series, in which you stated the proper name of the first C&C title is Tiberium Dawn. I've reverted this edit because the name Tiberium Dawn does not exist - the sub-title actually is Tiberian Dawn, which is officially recognized as well as actively used by the intellectual property owners of the C&C franchise, both former and present.
Source material on the subject you can find here:
You can also consult the various publications of Electronic Arts, either written or broadcasted in the infomercial Battlecast Primetime episodes, where the sub-title of Tiberian Dawn also is actively used by the C&C franchise owners when referring to this particular game. Their official website can be found here: [4] —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kalamrir (talk • contribs) 09:57, 3 February 2008 (UTC)
- Hrm, he did not. He didn't say "Tiberium Dawn" is the proper name of the first C&C game, he said it is the fan given title. Obviously he meant "Tiberian Dawn" is the fan given title.
- Shinpah1, we would like your input on the original discussion here. --MrStalker (talk) 12:06, 3 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit]Sorry, I was simply illustrating the bias present in the article. I guess reversion was appropriate :) 69.54.28.201 (talk) 20:44, 22 March 2008 (UTC)

rollback
[edit]Hello Shinpah1.
I have noticed that you revert a lot of vandalism. Have you heard of rollback before? It allows a user to revert vandalism much faster than by undo-ing it. I think you should ask for it. I am not an admin, or I would give it to you myself. I wrote this just to let you know about the existence of rollback because before someone randomly gave it to me, I did not know it existed. If you ask for it, you should have no problem getting it, as you clearly have an excellent grasp of what constitutes vandalism. Good luck, and may the vandals fail... J.delanoygabsadds 21:25, 23 March 2008 (UTC)
- Rollback simply undo-es all consecutive edits by one editor to a particular page and automatically generates an edit summary. It is useful for fighting vandalism because it only requires one click to use and does not require you to click "save page". WP:ROLLBACK does a good job of describing it in detail.
- With regard to your question, I am going to have to ask you to try to rephrase it. I am not sure exactly what you are asking. Sorry. J.delanoygabsadds 21:35, 23 March 2008 (UTC)
- As far as I know, there is no template that can do that. I am using an automated tool, Huggle, to revert vandalism. It sends me suspected vandalisms for review, and gives me various options to deal with vandalisms. It automatically places warnings on vandals' talk pages, reports them to WP:AIV if they already have a level four warning, and generates edit summaries. In addition, Huggle is capable of mimicking the rollback function for users that do not have rollback rights, and it can be used to tag new articles for speedy deletion. If you are interested in using automated tools to fight vandals, I would recommend either Huggle or Twinkle, which has (as far as I can tell) about the same functionality as Huggle does. There are several other tools available, but from what I can see Twinkle and Huggle are by far the most commonly used. J.delanoygabsadds 22:08, 23 March 2008 (UTC)
Thanks

[edit]Hi, the recent edit you made to Justin Thaler has been reverted, as it appears to be unconstructive. Use the sandbox for testing; if you believe the edit was constructive, ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. Thanks. [edit]The edit description clearly said "see talk". On the talk page the reasons for the edit were clearly stated. No counterarguments have been presented. I have provided numerous sources in this article, and have only deleted sources which were to blacklisted sites or to google searches that did not reveal what they said they did. Please review. I am reverting your revert for now. (71.202.180.190 (talk) 21:44, 14 May 2008 (UTC))

Rollback granted
[edit]After reviewing your request for rollback, I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:
- Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
- Rollback can be used to revert vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
- Rollback may be removed at any time.
If you no longer want rollback, then contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some information on how to use rollback, you can view this page. I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, just leave me a message on my talk page if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Happy editing! Rock music WikiProject
[edit]I'd like to invite you to join the newly-formed Rock music WikiProject. There's alot of Rock-related articles on Wikipedia that could use a little attention, and I hope this project can help organize an effort to improve them. So please, take a look and if you like what you see, help us get this project off the ground and a few Rock music pages into the front ranks of Wikipedia articles. Thanks! --Be Black Hole Sun (talk) 19:15, 4 August 2008 (UTC)
A request for comment has been added to the talk page of the Command & Conquer Task Force. As a contributor to the project, please add your opinions to this discussion. Thank you. |
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
