[edit]Hi, I'm not sure if Chzz is away, but I took a look at your draft, did some basic cleanup/formatting, and examined your references. You asked why one candidate qualifies for a page and another doesn't. The relevant policy states:
- "Just being an elected local official, or an unelected candidate for political office, does not guarantee notability, although such people can still be notable if they meet the primary notability criterion of "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject of the article"."
So the issue comes down to coverage in sources, in this case magazines and news media. The more of these sources in the article, and the better the quality and reputation of those sources, the more likely it will be accepted. Can you improve the references at all? If not, submit the page for review again and see if another reviewer has a different opinion. Declined articles are not marks against you--they are done to prevent the article from being outright deleted once it goes live. Let me know if you have any questions or are getting impatient and I can take another look at it. You can find me on talk page or at wikiocaasi@yahoo.com. Remember that these decisions on the margin often involve editorial discretion, so the more you can do to make sure you fall on the other side of the line, the better. Good luck.
