Proposed deletion of World Security Forum

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article World Security Forum, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. AfD nomination of World Security Forum

[edit]

I have nominated World Security Forum, an article you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/World Security Forum. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. A tag has been placed on Sheik Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Blowdart | talk 15:02, 25 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hey

[edit]

Hey, I think it would help you out a lot if you work on the Sheik_Saif_Bin_Zayed_Al_Nahyan page rather than the World Security Forum page. The World Security Forum, as has been discussed in the AfD, does not quite have the sources required for an article yet. However, Sheik Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan does. I've been working on his article already, and it is passable, but it needs a lot of expansion to be good. I hope you, with more expertise on the subject, can help out more than I can. Thanks and good luck. --Banime (talk) 16:48, 28 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you

Hi, thanks very much for your advice, much appreciated. I'll take a look and see what I can add! Sherazade10 (talk) 06:26, 29 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added to the page Michael A. Sheehan do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. The forum article itself was deleted as being non-notable; this of course reflects on links to the external web site itself, so please, don't add any more. Exactly what did you change from last time? It still doesn't prove notability, it still has references that are press releases and nothing more. You say in your move summary it now has sufficient sources but as far as I can see you changed nothing. --Blowdart | talk 08:23, 8 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of World Security Forum

[edit]

A tag has been placed on World Security Forum, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the article or have a copy emailed to you.
