[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Avanti Bikes has been reverted.
Your edit here to Avanti Bikes was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (http://www.facebook.com/avantibikes) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 21:17, 10 October 2012 (UTC)
Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to Avanti (bicycle manufacturer). While objective prose about beliefs, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Thank you. Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that the username you have chosen, "Sheppardcycles", seems to imply that you are editing on behalf of something other than yourself. Please note that you may not edit on behalf of a company, group, institution, product, or website, and Wikipedia does not allow usernames that are promotional or have the appearance of shared use. If you are willing to use a personal account, please take a moment to create a new account or request a username change that represents only yourself as an individual. You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and remember that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. Thank you. Jim1138 (talk) 02:47, 15 October 2012 (UTC)
Avoid using first person in articles
[edit]Avoid "I", "We", etc. Jim1138 (talk) 02:47, 15 October 2012 (UTC)
- Do not readd that content to Avanti (bicycle manufacturer). That is a direct cut and paste from Avanti's website and is copyrighted. If you continue to add copyrighted material to articles you may be blocked. GB fan 03:09, 15 October 2012 (UTC)
If your username doesn't represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}
below this notice. If you prefer to be unblocked for the purpose of changing your username to a username which complies with our username policy, so that your contributions with this username are recorded as contributions of your new username and rather than creating a new account, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}
below this notice instead. Thank you. Alexf(talk) 14:46, 16 October 2012 (UTC)

- In addition, "We are the manufacturer, designer and distributor" says that this is an organisation account - please note that Wikipedia accounts are for individuals only. Peridon (talk) 21:35, 18 October 2012 (UTC)
Sockpuppetry case
[edit]Your name has been mentioned in connection with a sockpuppetry case. Please refer to Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Sheppardcycles for evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to cases before editing the evidence page. Mr T(Talk?) (New thread?) 08:09, 24 October 2012 (UTC)
