Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. The following links will help you begin editing on Wikipedia:

Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia:

The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! Please do not tag an article with 123 citations as needing more.

As you did at Slavery in ancient Rome. Most of your edits have been reverted I note. Doug Weller talk 19:12, 14 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

See WP:LEAD. The basic answer is no if they are in the article. Sure, I see many leads with sources, partially because not all editors understand this, and also because sometimes strong statements are seen as needing sources in the lead. Doug Weller talk 19:53, 14 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
