Speedy deletion of IMS content packaging
[edit]A tag has been placed on IMS content packaging requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.
If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must include on the external site the statement "I, (name), am the author of this article, (article name), and I release its content under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.2 and later." You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. {{helpme}} I am trying to put this text into wikipedia on behalf of CETIS (who wrote it and who I work for). For some reason you picked up a reference to this paper from the Jorum site. To be clear, Jorum use the CETIS briefing paper (with permission from CETIS) - they do not own the copyright of the material, CETIS does. We wanted to put the text onto wikipedia so our community (which includes JORUM) could help make this document more sustainable. Please can this page be re-instated? Further information on CETIS @ http:jisc.cetis.ac.uk and on our whole suite of briefing papers @ http://zope.cetis.ac.uk/static/briefings.html
- Hi! I think you might be suffering a conflict of interests here - Wikipedia is a neutral, free encyclopedia, not a publisher. You might want to read the following: WP:COI, WP:NOT, WP:5 and WP:N. :-) Stwalkerster [ talk ] 16:23, 7 August 2008 (UTC)
{{helpme}} Thanks for the reply. Just to clarify, we are not a publisher and wanted to use wikipedia so that anyone can now update the ground work we have done. CETIS is an educational service funded by the UK government - we want to share what our resources (freely) with any interested parties and wikipedia seemed a natural place to start.
Wikimedia training for librarians

Now that you've learned the basics, I do encourage you to stay logged in, and have another go at editing. If you don't want to write a new article straight away, then why not try a small edit or two first, add a link, or maybe a picture?
- The project page for the Scottish Library and Information Council Wikimedia project can be found here, and there's further reading specifically for librarians here.
