G'day Rogerthat,

I am an SEN freak and actually do some work there.. I am not sure how this whole wikipediea thing works but I hope I can work through it and work it out..

How do I join WikiprojectAFL??

WP:AFL

[edit]

G'day mate, to join WikiProject AFL, edit the "List of participants section, then add your name underneath all the others, along with club you support. BTW, to drop me a line use my talk page. To add new articles, you type in say, Marc Murphy, and then "create this article", then all you do is type away. Incidentally, do you know much about Brett Phillips? The admins are considering deleting the article considering him not noteworthy, unless we can provide some more info.

Also mate, the following stuff may help you out:

Welcome!

Hello, Shapot, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome!

Good to have you on board mate, see you around Rogerthat 00:35, 17 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi mate

[edit]

Nice work on Drew Morphett, Clinton Grybas etc. Remember to link stuff like say Fox Footy, write [[ ]] around the link, like this: [[Fox Footy]] and then it turns into a link. Also when you sign pages on discussion pages and stuff, type ~~~~. Take a look at the Category:VFL/AFL players and Category:Australian rules football commentators as well.

What work do you do on SEN mate? Rogerthat 02:34, 18 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ey dude, just telling you you shouldn't really cut and paste stuff on here (like with Bruce Eva), try and change the words and get info from more than one source. Also, what work do you do on SEN mate, which show do you produce? Rogerthat 05:38, 21 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry havn't been on for a while

[edit]

I help out with two shows buddy :"Saturday Spotlight" and "On The Rise" sorry about the copy and paste thing just thought it would be good to have something on those people for now and at the time couldn't be bothered doing research.

Shapot 01:43, 23 January 2006 (UTC)

No worries mate. Take a look at WP:AFL and take a look at how I added your name into the participants list. ;) Cheers, Rogerthat Talk 12:59, 23 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Richo

[edit]

Haha, not really mate, you'd know way more about the man than me! I know his middle name starts with A because under the Stawell Gift winners it lists him as J.A. richardson. Ask him what his middle name is and add it on here, lol!

BTW mate, what footy team do you follow? Rogerthat Talk 10:30, 24 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi mate

[edit]

G'day, because you do some work at SEN could you get some info on the presenters (like for example, their date of births)) and other places where they work? Keep up the good work mate Rogerthat Talk 01:34, 5 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi again, wondering if you could find out some more details for the World Sport Overnight article, and with the SEN 1116 article, try and make it sound less like a promo and more like an information piece, like instead of saying "Marko and Pickers are a great way to start your weekend", say "Allen and Pickering's jibes and banter are much-loved among the station's listeners" or something like that. Cheers mate, Rogerthat Talk 11:08, 20 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

SEN 1116

[edit]

Hi mate, just letting you know I've made some changes to The Good Oil to make it sound less biased. I've also made the SEN 1116 category. Let us know your thoughts. Rogerthat Talk 11:42, 2 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject NBL

[edit]

Hey Shapot

I am wondering if you would like to join WikiProject NBL. I believe that this is something that you might be able to help me with, by creating user boxes and player boxes for it or even adding articles about Players

Cheers

AFL season article naming convention

[edit]

As a participant of WikiProject AFL I thought you might be interested in this. I have started a vote to get a consensus on the naming convention for AFL season articles. You can participate in the discussion at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject AFL#AFL season article naming convention. Cheers. Remy B 13:17, 16 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Shapot,

This is to inform you that I have nominated Jim Maxwell (commentator) for deletion. Although it was created a few months ago, another user discovered that there was a copyright violation.

Feel free to contact me if you have any interest in saving the entry as is; alternatively you may check out the nomination yourself on the Articles for Deletion page. Folajimi 17:23, 1 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of The Run Home

[edit]

A tag has been placed on The Run Home requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company or corporation, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for companies and corporations.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Proposed deletion of The Run Home

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article The Run Home, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

non-notable radio programme, ~300 ghits for "The Run Home" "SEN 1116" and none of them appear to be independent of the source, reliable, and non-trivial.

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello Shapot! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 51 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

  1. Leith Mulligan - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Thanks!--DASHBot (talk) 18:07, 16 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Leith Mulligan has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No significant coverage in any independent reliable sources.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. The-Pope (talk) 15:10, 4 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
